Nipple sensation - 4 months PO
Hey lovely ladies,
So I'm now 4 months PO and just wanted to ask a question about nipple sensation! My nipples kinda have a mind of their own still. When it's cold or whatever, they definitely still stand to attention! But I've noticed sometimes I feel this happening, and other times I don't feel a thing yet look down and BOOM, there they are!!!
Not often, but every now and then I also notice one nipple can be hard while the other is just sat there chilling...
And in the bedroom, it can be even stranger. They look and behave as they should when given 'attention' *ahem*, but I feel like I still can't really feel anything? They aren't completely numb so I could stick a pin in them by ANY means. But, it does freak me out considering my 'old' boobs used to be SO sensitive to touch and temperature etc.
Has anyone else found this? Will it get better over time or is this just something I'll have to get over?
x

It's all to do with your nerves. While they're healing the sensations may be up and down and all over the place. Nerves will continue to re-grow for up to 2yrs. After that, you're done, so you've got a little while to go yet before you start worrying! I have numb patches still under my nips that I've come to terms with now, I'd rather have the boobs than the feeling!! But there's a chance that when I have them re-done, it might come back then.

Hi nearly 9 months PO and and my nipples do what they want. They are over sensitive with a numb bottom half of my boob. I still have a year and a bit to go. But to be honest it doesn't really bother me. I'm so pleased with my boobs that it out ways it xxx

My nipples feel unplesent to touch. So sensitive they almost hurt. So I just don't. There is plenty more for my husband to get a hold of. Did I just say that !!!! Xxx

Exactly the same as you Anne as regards to nipples and bottom of boobs! Numb but I can feel them if that makes sense? They almost make me cringe a bit cuz its just odd. My surgeon did tell me the name of that "numb but they feel weird" sensation....can't remember it now though x

Hi Jen, yes it's an odd sensation. I personally can't see it changing now. Xx

It is definitely a very weird feeling! My numbness comes and goes and my nipples can be very sore out of the blue.
I would be interested to know what your surgeon refered to it as Jen, I know exactly what you are trying to describe! That feeling of numbness but you can still feel something kinda thing haha!! It is very strange!! X
