What can't you do?
So today, kids said they wanted chips, sausage and beans for tea. No problem. Put the sausages on, beans in microwave BOOM, but when I got the potatoes out to make the chips, could I hellers chip the potatoes! Just don't seem to have enough upper body strength yet.
So, wondered what things have surprised you that you just CAN'T do throughout your BA's?
Oh, and the buttons on my high top skinny jeans...Jeez, my 8 yr old has been a superstar doing those for me!
Lol!

Hi twinky. I struggled with things like doing my bra up at the back, Jean buttons oh my they are stiff. Try washing your jeans in softener it makes buttons better to get in. Reaching up really high was a struggle also. It takes quiet a lot of effort to cut potatoes, maybe buy frozen for a little while to make life easier. Xxx

Re: What can't you do?
My first week post op, I couldn't flush the loo or pull my undies up by myself. That was a low point. Other than that, I hammed it up for quite a while, so hubs did all the lifting a reaching...still did up to about 1yr post!
Now, 2yrs on, I cant paint my toenails without kneeing myself in the boob! Just the little things!

Hehe I can remember having trouble wiping my bum, I thought about asking hubby but then thought no no that's not happening. Not until I'm really old anyway xxx

Re: What can't you do?
Thats why you buy a fancy electric grater! You're barely a month post, its still going to be tricky for another couple...you've literally had someone slice you open, lift your muscles, and shove an implant in. That's more than just a pulled muscle! I think we so quickly forget that it is actually a major op, because boob jobs are so socially trivialized.

I think if you actually watch a boob op online you will see that it's quiet a trauma. Some girls have it quiet easy as far a feeling good is concerned. But I would say my recovery was pretty normal. Couldn't do a lot and started to feel kind of normal at 12 weeks xxx

Re: What can't you do?
Anything involving pec muscles can be difficult/uncomfortable for a while after op & you soon realise how many things involve using your pecs.
In the scheme of things it is only for a short while that you will need help doing these tasks or find alternative ways , like pushing heavy doors open with you butt instead of arms etc... As your recovery progresses you will slowly be able to get back to normal.
