A good news sort of day
so I saw my surgeon today who said that the infection I had was clear in the sample they took from my fluid which he interprets as meaning the antibiotics got to work straight away. A small part of me can't help wondering whether we were too hasty getting them out but what's done is done and I'm just glad it wasn't something really obscure and hard to treat.
Anyway as there is no infection, my tissues are soft, and I am well in myself there is a strong possibility they can go back in on the 2nd July!!! Going to see him on the 17th June and as long as I am healing as well as I have been he has pencilled me in for then. We will discuss what size etc on that date.
I'm not counting my chickens, things have been far from easy, but I can focus now on a positive outcome and staying as healthy as possible in the next 4 weeks to ensure it can happen. After such a horrendous time it is lovely to feel a little bit hopeful and even a tiny bit excited xx

Thanks all, still won't really get excited and believe it until the 17th but feel much more positive. Come the 17th will be besides myself! I've loved and lost my boobies and cannot WAIT to be reunited xx

Re: A good news sort of day
Ah thank you, the kind thoughts very much appreciated!! I feel on a mission to make sure nothing scuppers my chances of being given the go ahead on the 17th. I am by nature a bit of a party girl and love going out, late nights etc. but none of that, not even a glass of wine at home. I have had a taste of how distraught I was when it all went wrong and I'm not risking it xx

Re: A good news sort of day
Thanks ladies, so nice to talk to people who understand, think I've bored my husband to death!! I Was preparing myself for him saying I had to wait at least 3 months, going on what others gave said. I can only assume it is because the infection has cleared that we can go sooner. He won't do it if he thinks there is any risk of the result not being good or the risk of further re-ops which is obviously the last thing I want, and I don't think my old bones could cope!! I will update come the 17th, more of my life being wished away for the next 2 weeks, really must stop doing that xx
