Uplift with implants on June 5, excited & nervous
My uplift with implants is scheduled for June 5 with Mr. Garrick Georgeu at The Cadogan Clinic in London. I've wanted better boobs since I was 18 and now at 40 I am going to get them :)
I know I need the uplift so it came as no surprise when Mr. Georgeu stated that during our consultation. However, I am nervous about the scars, the healing time, and would love to hear what other ladies have done to aid in healing with minimal scarring, what you wished you had known before you went into surgery, and what would have made your post operation recovery easier.
Also, has anybody had an uplift with conical implants at The Cadogan Clinic or with Mr. Georgeu? I am 100% confident with him as my surgeon but would love to hear from others who had their surgeries with him as well :)
Any advice and/or suggestions are most appreciated.

Re: Uplift with implants on June 5, excited & nervous
Hi!
I am nearly 2 weeks post op. I was due to have a full set of anchor scars but ended up just with the periareolar and the the normal under boob scars.
All my dressings are off and everything is healing beautifully. The under incisions will be gone in a week I think they are healing so fast!!
I do have a few proper stitches in round the nipple as well as the dissolvable so they need to come out but I'm really happy with how they look already and I really didnt expect that so soon. As its so soon I haven't done anything re scar management. Once I get the all clear from the surgeon I plan to use bio oil on them to help them along.
I will try and update my picture trail later - let me know if you want to see and I will send you my log in.
I would make sure you have 9 - 10 days off work for sure, dont expect a lot of sleep for the first few days, and remember they DO get better!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I would truly like to see your picturetrail. I think I'm getting anchor scars but to be honest, I'm not sure. I know the nipple is getting moved so I will have the sutures around those. I have scheduled 10 days off with the option for a few more days if needed. Did you take any arnica or pre-surgery/post-surgery vitamins to aid with healing?

I am looking into the same procedure - uplift and implants.
The way I see it, scars will go down eventually, it'll take time but it's much better having scars healing than my current boobs that aren't my perfect boobs.
Think of the end results rather than the scary beginning thought of the scars.

Thanks Monday121!
I did take arnica before for a couple of weeks but I didnt bother afterwards (so was a bit of a waste of time!) to be honest the initial swelling will be there whatever you do, mine subsided pretty quickly. I did have a yellow bruise under my armpit which was really unusual for me - I never tend to bruise no matter what so must of been a bit of a trauma to bring it up. Only on the one side though.
Saw my surgeon this evening and he did say that I have healed particularly quickly so I may have just been lucky but if you take care through recovery and take all the advice on here, eat well leading up to the surgery and afterwards and REST afterwards it all helps.
I was worried having seen some franken-boob pictures on the web with patchwork type style stitches but try not to worry too much!

Hi I'm having a full anchor lift too but I think having better boobs is worth the scars. They'll fade and there's lots of scar treatments out there (I'm currently looking into which ones best) so don't worry. Think of how they'll make you feel :)

Re: Uplift with implants on June 5, excited & nervous
Ladies, I did my uplift and BA yesterday with Mr. Georgeu. I have a full set of anchor scars but honestly am very happy with the result! I opted to put my pics on my review on realself.com ; if you search under my username: MyOwnWoman you will see them. I have my first in person follow-up this coming Friday and will post more pics then.

Re: Uplift with implants on June 5, excited & nervous
Now I have my augmented boobs and the gap between them is huge , they also seem to be very large and unnatural looking , feeling a bit down and stomach is killing me from Lipo .
I had a fairly large gap before but now it's much bigger :(

Try not to worry & judge your boobs just yet!Zoe123 wrote:Now I have my augmented boobs and the gap between them is huge , they also seem to be very large and unnatural looking , feeling a bit down and stomach is killing me from Lipo .

What you are look at just now is way off what your final result will be.They wont be natural looking having just had them done, swelling etc holds everything high & tight, once they heal & everything relaxes you wont believe how much they change for the better, so hang on in there!
I have a fairly big gap between mine which was more pronounced early post op but as they softened/settled & I was back into proper bras I was able to gain a good cleavage.
Keep on top of pain meds to get you through the next few days, happy healing wishes heading your way

Re: Uplift with implants on June 5, excited & nervous
Thanks for your message .
My ps was supposed to perform a lift and augment
But decided once implants were in place I didn't need a lift .
I disagree and feel they could be higher .
It's ok ,I'm not disfigured or scared in any way , they're just not as pert as I'd like them .
I'll just have to have a lift in the future .
In the meantime I'll enjoy having bigger boobs :)
The gap seems better now and don't feel so freaked out .
Your supportive message helped :)
