First post op check done
I've just had my wound check. I can't stop smiling!
Mr Lambe is really happy with everything. My boobs feel soft, they are perfectly symmetrical and the scars are tickedy boo!
The dressings are off and staying off and I am so happy with the scars. I will take some photos and add them to my picture trail this week.
He said I can start back exercising now but to take it easy...nothing crazy like insanity classes...pah as if I do them anyway!! So I'm just going to go on the exercise bike from tomorrow and build up gradually.
I mentioned that the macom was really squidging my boobs too much and I took the Royce with me. He said he's happy for me to wear the Royce now. It just makes my boobs feel so much more natural.
No underwires til the 6 weeks mark and I'm going back to see him at 6 weeks so I'll wait til then before I hit the shops just to ensure he's still happy with how I'm healing.
I asked about sleeping on my side...and I can...woohoo!! Goodbye pillow mountain. Not sure how comfy I'll be on my side yet but I'm so happy I've got the option.
He said to wear a bra 24/7 for the next 3 weeks and then I can sleep without one and just treat them as though they are mine.
I am on cloud 9, just so happy. I love my boobs and my surgeon is amazing. Such a gentle and lovely man.
Right...I'm off for a shower!!

That's awesome news! I've got mine tomorrow. I somehow can't see being allowed to exercise from this week but tried flatter/slightly side sleeping last night & it felt like heaven!...although i did have to put a pair of socks between my boobs to support the upper one But it worked a treat! Glad to hear you're getting on so well xx

Re: First post op check done
Glad everything went well at your check up & surgeon is pleased with your healing.
Do take it easy with the exercising though , just because your surgeon has said it's ok your body might have other ideas, If your boobs ache afterwards leave it for a bit then try again, you'll get there in the end.

Re: First post op check done
Thanks girls...that first shower last night was heaven!!
I went down to my usual 2 pillows last night and slept on my side! Had a terrible nights sleep but the little one woke up about 5 times for some unknown reason so that didn't help. Everytime I got comfy he woke up again and hubby working so I got up each time after the first time.
Might go back to being propped up again for a bit longer depending on how I get on tonight.
Thanks for your advice Mirren. I can assure you I'm not an avid exerciser anyway so I'm in no rush. The exercise bike also doubles a clothes horse!!

Great news! I wouldn't sleep without a bra at all though, a good sports bra every night prevents sagging and keeps the look of your boobs.

I agree Princess. Need to look after them after waiting for so long!!
The first night on my side wasn't great but last night was just heaven. Slept all night and loved every second!!
Good luck tonight blush. I just had a little stint (20 mins) on the bike last night and felt fine. I don't do weights or anything anyway, just the bike and exercise DVD at home but not ready for that yet xx
