Bra help please!
Hey girls,
So I'm 5 days post op now and been living in the macom apart from when it's drying and then I'm wearing the Royce.
The Royce is way less supportive than the macom, the surgeon said not supportive enough, hence why I bought the macom.
I just feel like the macom is squidging my boobs so they are sitting higher. I know the whole point of the bra is for the compression and support element but I want them to drop not to be so high.
They definitely feel more comfortable, and natural in the Royce but that isn't as comfy on my incisions.
I've extended the straps now on the macom to try and make my boobs mould the bra a bit differently as they have made a shape in the macom which is making them sit in this pushed up position.
Anyway, I'm rambling...my question is should the macom be squishing my boobs like this?
I don't even know if this will make any sense so sorry if it doesn't! Xx

Yes it should. Like you said, it's a compression garment! Don't worry about them being held too tight and not dropping, they will I due time. Plus in another 2wk likely your swelling will have gone down and the macom will be too big then. Stick with it for now, then maybe get something else for post swelling.

My Macom really squished by boobs, even now!! I think it's just cos its a compression garment. In my first week I was so swollen, had to keep asking my mum to loosen straps! Felt like I as a corset on or something!!
It does get so much better and easier, just hang on there! Xxx

Thanks blush, I was worried about loosening the straps incase that reduced the support but I have and it is more comfortable and means they aren't as "under my chin!" Xx

Hi [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I am in band and go to say in it until told I can wear my Macom. Mine feel as though they are squashed down all time and I struggle now to bend trunk of body. But when I checked with hospital they said do not loosen it leave as it is until I been checked out. It is there to support and help us heal so we must do as we are told ...lol . Hope you are ok can believe it is nearly a week already .....still not been to loo yet
Xx

Thanks Loui, I was worried it was being too supportive! I've bought some m&s ones but they are too small so going to take them back and get measured once I am ready to venture out of the macom xx
Oh that's reassuring littleannie, I'm not going back til Monday but it's not really that much longer to wait.
Oh no, bet the loo issue isn't helping how you feel! Have you taken anything?
I still feel good, definitely more aware of them and they felt really fake last night when I put the macom back on which is why I was stressing they were being too squashed but will see what Mr Lambe says on Monday.
I can't wait for a shower!! Xx
