It's finally sinking in!!
I've just been and bought my post op bras....yey...I'm getting boobs!!
I wanted to get the zip front sports bra from m&s but they didn't have the size I think I will need so got a lovely double pack of pink and purple high impacts.
I still have no idea if they will fit properly so will probably invest in a macom too for the initial post op period.
Did most of you post op ladies use a macom/Royce for straight after? I'm just worried these ones I have bought will be the wrong size.
My BA shopping has finally started xx

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
It's so hard isn't it knowing which size you'll need?!
I think the macom and Royce are a good bet for straight after as they will definitely fit.
Where did you get yours from?
I've just seen your ticker..oh my gosh how exciting! Xx

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
JI got the Macom new off eBay for £20 which was lucky and the Royce I've ordered from John Lewis but that hasn't turned up yet (ordered it on the 14th!) so I've just been on the phone to them as its cutting it fine now, just waiting for them to ring me back. If you decide to order a Royce I'd advise to get it straight from them as it will be quicker (and the same price). I'm completely guessing at sizes, I've bought a D, a DD and the Macom just goes with your back size, I buy a 34a now so I ordered a 36 back to allow for swelling..... It's a mine field! Will prob end up sending my fella out shopping on the day if they don't fit - he'll love that! Haha x

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
Haha I sent my husband to the till to pay for mine as getting around on these crutches is exhausting! He said he bet they think he's a cross dresser and they are for him cos they were so big
I'm hoping for dd/e so bought 34e. I put them on in the shop and 36 was far too big round the band so might need these for once the initial swelling has gone down and get a macom too.
Good tip re the Royce, thank you xx
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I am so unprepared. It's not like me at all but this broken foot is throwing a spanner in the works and making everything so much harder xx

Hi , exciting isn't it . I bought a macom and it was my godsend I had 2 as one in the wash one on. It's just trial and error really as to what feels comfortable. The macom will fit whatever your boob size xx

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
I had the Macom for the early days post op, although it fitted well It didn't get on well with my skin I found the material itchy, after the swelling went down I lived in the M&S zip front bras, which were so much softer.
It's all down to what you're comfiest in ,what's right for one may not be for another.

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
I was bra shopping yesterday too! things just got REAL!
I had my macom arrive in the post and then I went to M+S they didn't have the high impact pink and blue ones in the right size and me being me I didn't want the black and white as my macom is black...lol.. so I'm going to another M+S today to look for the pink and blue I hope they have them!
I think the zip front ones look really good too but I'm not sure if all the seams will be uncomfortable!xo

Re: It's finally sinking in!!
I was going with every intention of getting the zip front ones as the ladies on here recommended them and my surgeons secretary has had hers done and also said it was the most comfortable and she still wears it 12 months post op. Once I have a better indication of size I'll see if I need it. Good luck today, if not try online or the store should order it in for you xx

Aww yay it's such a nice feeling when it's gets so close :)
I have the m&s zip bra. I haven't even worn it yet, but I tried it on and fits lovely. I'm saving it for weights I think, not sure I trust anything other than a shock absorber or panache for running! Xx

Yeah think I'll get one when I know more size wise as they seem to be a popular choice.
