How soon can you fly?
Hello lovelies!
My BA is on 7th May and I've just been asked to fly to Edinburgh for work on 19th May (from Manchester so only an hour)
I am happy to ask the surgeon's secretary but thought I would try here first...do you know how long, if at all, you need to wait to fly? Xx

Every surgeon is different. Mine said short distance 48 hours and long distance 6 weeks.

You're fine to fly, but no one can predict howmuch discomfort you may be in 12 days post. Make sure you travel light! I'm not sure how strenuous your work trip is but be aware that many ladies take 2 weeks off work.

Re: How soon can you fly?
Thanks all. I'd better ring to check hadn't I. I have got 3 weeks booked off just incase but depending on how I felt was going to go back w/c 18th. It would just be a day trip so no luggage or anything but will see what the surgeon advises.
Thanks again xx

Re: How soon can you fly?
If you decide you didn't feel ok to return early, would it be ok to not return and cancel the trip? Personally I wouldn't want the commitment hanging over me just in case, unless of course you can decide against it if you don't feel ok.

I doubt they would be pleased if I cancelled.
Probably best not to commit. I've done so much overtime recently I deserve some time off anyway xx

Getting breast implants
Hey thanks for this thread. I too was having the same doubt. My breast augmentation surgery has also been fixed for next month, May. The clinic is in Toronto, it's almost 21 km from my home. And most probably, I will need to fly on April last week for my work purpose. I was about to ask my surgeon Dr. Ronald Levine regarding this. Anyway, thanks for replying guys.
