is this normal?
Hi everyone I hope someone can help me decide if I'm being paranoid or not?
I had my op on Thurs so I'm 4dpo today. Generally I've been OK but the last couple of days I've had chills but no fever, my glands in my neck came up before I left hospital and they said it was probably just a reaction to the tube in my throat. They have settled now.
My rightie has been pretty plain sailing, some pain.but feels fine most of the time. The leftie is different, there is a patch of pain to the right of my incision the never eases. There is no redness on my skin or heat coming from it, nor do I have any seepage on my dressings. The leftie also feels kind of 'unstable' like there's some movement.
I know I'm very early days but if I knew this was normal experience I'd feel better! If not I'll ring for advice. My first follow up appt is on Fri. Thanks very much everyone x

Re: is this normal?
If in doubt call your surgeon!
However, at 4 days the implants wont have adhered to the wall so movement is quite normal. And with this movement you can also incur some amount of pain.
Each implant is a separate operation, so understanding that your boobs are sisters and not twins is also a good point to remember.
I had a tendon under my left breast that felt like it was stretching when I put my arm up. It has now stretched and eased as time has gone on :)
Make sure you are topped up on your meds. And also make sure you are not stretching and lifting anything you shouldn't be.
Day 3-5 is always the worst. Have some rest and keep your fluids up! xx

Re: is this normal?
You've had a lot of drugs at the hospital including the GA which is probably trying to escape your system, this could be the course of the fever and glands... perhaps (not a medical opinion at all!!!) xxx

Re: is this normal?
Just looked at my ID cards for them and they are N-TSF 325g,which after googling stands for textured, soft touch, full profile. X

Sarahs right, if you've not got full on flu like symptoms, it's likely your body coping with getting rid of all the drugs, and trying to heal itself. Your boobs will heal at different rates, and it's normal for one to go through slightly more trauma. Stick with your painkillers, and speak to the clinic if you get worried, or if a fever peaks.

Re: is this normal?
Thanks everyone, during the night I felt hot and cold and sweating so I rang this morning and I've to go in this avo. I kind of feel it's a bug as I don't have any redness or seepage on dressings but I'd rather be safe. X
