Re: Will I still be ok for my op???
I can't believe this! How awful just the sort of thing you really don't need right now with your op so close! I can't believe he didn't even do a swab or diagnostic test or anything. Antibiotics are very dangerous if you do not have an overgrowth of bacteria because they will just kill all your healthy bacteria, and with a stomach disorder you need all the good bacteria you can get. I would definitely complain, he could have caused you major grief if you had taken him on his word and done what he said because not only would you have missed out on your BA potentially, you could have caused your immune system some damage by taking antibiotics that were not needed. Trust me I know all about the damage antibiotics can do - I try to stay away from them at all costs.
I really hope you feel better soon hun, I'm sure you will get your boobies no probs xx

LOL!!! Mia I thought you'd be happy I stopped swinging!!!
Time for a change I thought, and I love scuba diving!! You have got me right there though Mia, I am always on the go
Thanx Jess for your kind words, so glad I didnt take the antibiotics either, the pharmacist explained to me exactly what you mentioned about the good and bad bacteria. Sad to think a lot of people especially elderly could be potentially fobbed off by doctors like this!!!
Onwards and upwards from now
xxxxx

And we wonder why we have MRSA and the like with complete overuse of antibiotic therapy by lazy medics!
So glad you spoke to someone with sense and most importantly you are feeling better.
I would complain too no-one needs judgement - hes a disgrace to his profession.

What an a**hole! You really should complain hun, that is so out of order and majorly unprofessional. Thank god you spoke to a nice intelligent pharmasist, who knows what damage you could have done had you taken those antibiotics.
You go girl with your BA, you've been through enough over the last couple of months, how dare some small minded GP be so rude to you.
Really hope you are ok, try not to stress, just think happy thoughts and dream of your new boobies!! thinking of you
