Operation cancelled for tomorrow! Empty Operation cancelled for tomorrow!

Just received call from secretary and my surgeon has flu and unable to operate tomorrow! Mortified and a blubbering wreck is not the word! I have been offered an alternative date for ten days time but will annual leave and childcare booked this has been a nightmare! I have been so anxious and pumped up for op at 8am in the morning, was shocked to get the call at 5! They were leaving it to the last minute as he hoped He may feel better ! hissysad smile

Noooooo omg I feel your pain i dreaded this happening to me as like you its so hard logistically to fit in another date. Don't know what to say but hugs!

Unfortunately these things happen though and as much as it must have been so frustrating to have got the call at the last minute, God bless your surgeon for hoping he'd be well enough to proceed and not have to cancel on you. 

I always believe these things happen for a reason as well Becky and do believe your boobs will be all the better for their wait. It just wasn't meant to be for tomorrow. 

I know that doesn't help make you feel any better right now, but in a couple of days, you'll realise it will all turn out for the best!! yes

Yes rebooked for 3rd March but now means I have to go back to work 9 days post op instead of 15 as will have it tues and not Saturday! How long until you can swim as on holiday in Spain 9 weeks later?

You should be fine 9 weeks later Becky. It's 'generally' 6 weeks before you're able to swim or fully submerge incisions all being well with your wounds. Xx
