Re: 5 days left!
You'll be surprised at how many women do get cold/flu like symptoms on the run up to their BAs Paige, it's generally just symptoms of stress though rather than viral, but it's best to just try and keep warm, and get lots of 'natural' vitamin C down you, maybe with lovely hot honey and lemon drinks. Whatever you do don't take supplements, just natural vitamins only hun...as long as you re running a fever, have an infection or any obstruction of your airways at all you'll be just fine. Xxxx
Re: 5 days left!
I no think it's because it's on my mind everyday panicking encase I became I'll so prob is half stressing/worrying! I was going to ask- I take a vitamin off docs an Iron tablets.daily, do I need to stop taking them anytime soon before my opp?
Thanks Hun x

Re: 5 days left!
As long as it's just the sniffles it's fine. Plenty of fluids, fruit and veg, the usual! Any supplements you've not been directly prescribed by your dr you should stop, so multivits and iron. It's just so it doesn't interfere with the GA and give any false readings. Rest up, it'll soon be here!

Re: 5 days left!
If you haven't had a pre-op that's fine, but if you have you will have already mentioned your iron tablets and the reason you're taking them I'd presume?
If the clinic isn't aware though it would be best to give the clinic a little call and just go through that with them. I'm sure it'll be fine but you really must disclose everything prior to surgery hun. X

Me too hun I had a cold the week of my op but was nothing like I would normally get, so think mine was down to stressing and worry of the op. Just rest up when you can and get a few early nights, and like the other ladies say, plenty of fluids.wish you better soon x

Not got fever or aches like I normally get either!! I'm not sleeping cod of nerves and feel guilty that I'm lying to parents etc which all in all is adding to stress!! At this rate I'll be sectioned before I have them!! 2 days eek!!
