Hi girls,
So last night I had my tapes changed for the first time since my uplift with BA. I have a small hole in the section where the vertical line meets the horizontal line. She has put an iodine dressing on it and iv got to go back Friday to have it changed again. I will update my picture trail so you can see. It's not oozy or gooey...just red. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have that. I have to shower and change my iodine dressings every day. I was told it would heal it's self and to keep an eye on it. It freaked me out when I first found it though. X

Yeah it freaked me out when she told me too! I'm hoping it will have improved a little by Friday. Fingers crossed for us both! It's quite a scary thought having a hole there x

It is. I've had a week of dressings to not two days left. Hope it's healed. fingers crossed

It sounds ok, just taking a little longer to heal. As long as it stays pink and healthy it's ok. If it gets angry or pussey or smelly, head straight to the clinic/gp

No the nurse wants to change tapes and dressing for me. Because I'm only half hour away from the hospital she said she'd rather do it. Least I'm not alone in this.  It's relatively common. Hope we all heal up well asap xx

I don't have to change my dressing everyday....she just said she would do it on Friday. I hope that's enough x

It's not uncommon for this to happen & patients aftercare is tailored specifically for their individual needs.
The dressings should do the trick & hopefully healing will be back on track soon. XXX

Now iv got clear liquid on my vest top from lefty!  Knew this would happen once scars are disturbed but pulling tapes off. Always baffles me why they use such sticky tapes and have to really pull it off the incisions!  You think with all the technology these days they would come up with something more gentle.  Sorry for the rant but feel like iv taken ten steps back since yesterday!  :-(  xx

Every Friday is fine, but if they become really soiled then call the clinic for a change of dressing xx
