Are your fluffed boobies lower than your pre BA?
Hi girls, I've been lurking on here for a while, researching, doing 'homework' and preparing!
I'm going to book consultations in May/June and hope to book surgery for July or August, so I have a little time yet.
I've been trying rice boobs and have a question. When I put the rice boobs in, they drop because of the weight. Am I using a bra with too little support? I'm currently a 34A and want to go to an E cup or as big as the surgeon recommends. My rib cage is wider from the front than the side view, which makes my boobies look even smaller from the front view! Also, I have a short body so I want my boobies to sit as high as possible. The thought of them dropping scares me! What happens with the extra weight after they drop and fluff?
Do your new boobies sit a lot lower, or would you say they are about the same level?

Hi for example, I had anatomical implants and you don't really have much upper pole with these. A natural look is what I wanted. They don't go lower you just get a natural crease under your boob so they are not sitting up high. They become wider at the bottom of the breast. I had moderate profile. I think you can have extra high profile if you want more upper pole. What look are you after? Xx

If you're having a straight forward BA, your books will be exactly the same as they are now, but bigger once you have the final result. When we say dropping, it's when the implant settles in the pocket. This will be no lower than your current breast crease. Fluffing is when the. 'goo' falls in with gravity to the lower pole of the implant, so a round implant will look more anatomical. Again, this will go no lower than your natural breast crease, it just fills the volume out in a different area of the breast.
Profile has nothing to do with how much upper or lower pole you get, that's purely the forward projection at the deepest point of the implant.
I suspect that with the rice boobs, you might have the wrong bra. Have you double checked your band size? Measure straight where it would sit and don't add anything. I measure 31 so wear 32. Don't forget, they are going to be heavier too. CC is equal to grams, so there could be some drop, but not a lot.

My under bust measurement is 29". So the breast crease (if I had enough boob to make one lol) stays in the same place, that's great! My boobs have never made a crease, they have always looked kind of 'stuck on' and sit quite high which I really like.
I have a distinctive 'look' with colourful tattoo sleeves and long hair. I'm not after a natural look, I love lots of upper pole and feel that would suit my overall style better - but again it depends what the surgeons suggest.
I guess it's better to get an idea of the weight of rice boobs after a few consults? That way I will know how much weight to expect?

If your underbust is 29, you should be in a 30! Trust me, post op it'll make all the difference!
Honestly, I think the best thing for you right now is to get a consultation under your belt. You can sit and ponder all you like, but until you know what your body is capable of coping with, there's no certainties. Even if you just go to a free commercial clinic one, just for an idea. Then once you're ready for surgeons you're truely considering, you can be clear on the look you are trying to achieve.

Re: Are your fluffed boobies lower than your pre BA?
I'm so confused! I thought it should be 30 too but I put my stats into an online bra size calculator (85b.org) and it says I'm 34A! My upper bust is 31.5, my widest point is 32 and under is 29. I definitely put the stats in the right boxes.
I think I will go to a free consult if I can find one, or just wait until May when I can afford to book a few. Money is super tight at the moment but by the end of May I will have plenty to play with, so I'll just carry on researching for now!

On all the charts I've looked at, the sizes vary so much! Either it says band size 34 then C or there's no cup size small enough, or 32AA but my band is too wide for that as 29" is supposed to be a 34 band. On some I'm a 34C but I know that's a little too big in the cups. What a nightmare! I've been wearing 34B and thought that was about right.

I agree with Chalii it'll make a different after surgery when you need the support!
From the stats you have just given you are a 30C :)
29inches = wear a 30
1 inch extra would be an A, 2 inches a B.. your 3 inches bigger so a C xx

Sarah's right. Online guides are BS, don't trust a word of them, even the ones online where we tell you are good for a fitting! The majority of stores still go by the +4/5" method, which is completely outdated. It has so many women in the wrong size bra, and is used for the sole purpose now of reducing the amount of sizes that stores have to buy for display. Most shops will only stock a 32A-38DD, and the +4/5" method will fit a majority of girls in this size. If I go online, I come out anything between 36AA and 34C. I'm actually a 32DD/E. Have a look at my thread here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
This is why we always say get fitted rather than measured. That's not to say that the size is static, depending on the type of bra I have 34D-32E and everything in between!

So is a 32a band width smaller than a 32d band width? Even though same number?

The band on a 32A measures the same as a 32D it's only the cup size that's bigger. X

Re: Are your fluffed boobies lower than your pre BA?
The band always stays the same, it's the ratio of volume that differs. So a 32a is smaller that a 32b in the cup, but the 32a would be the same volume as a 30b. Make sense? MrsB had a great sticky on it, but I think the pics got removed somehow. Thanks this is what we mean by sister sizes.

So my band size is 31" and bust is 36"
Obviously only 3 weeks post op. So that would be a 32d or e?!

That would be 32dd. Obviously nothing beats a fitting, but it's a good starting point!
