Cookie posted something similar, it's just a few posts down - you might find your answer there. I wouldn't imagine it would effect them at all though x

Re: omg anybody help
Your recovery is over sweetheart so there'll be no problem at all having root canal treatment.
Was it my post that scared you WOOWOO?
The reason I was worried lovely is because I have an auto immune condition and if I get an infection, my body fights with the infection and attacks my internal organs and could make me very ill. If I had the root canal and it got infected, my surgery would be cancelled, if I got an infection just after implanting, without doubt my body would recognise the foreign object and reject leaving me with a need to have the implant wxplanted. Also due to picking up a superbug called C-diff in hospital, anti-biotics are also a problem for me. It's these things that are concerning on any day for me given my complicated medical history and my being due to have revision in a months time, I simply didn't want to do anything that might compromise that at all.
After healing (which you have) having any dental work done is absolutely fine and you've nothing at all to be concerned about. Heaven forbid you did get an infection, a course of anti-biotics would treat it and that would be that, you'll be fine WOOWOO don't worry and I'm sorry if I frightened you.
The only time I'd suggest you not have the root canal would be if like myself....you were due for surgery soon, or in still in recovery.
Are you being put to sleep because you have a fear of dentists babe? Xx
