CCs or grams??
Just been for my first consultation with a surgeon and he referred to implants in grams rather than CCs. Does anyone know vaguely how they compare size-wise? Was recommended 340-375gs (375 looked MASSIVE!) x

Re: CCs or grams??
Everyone and everyone es anatomy is different. But 375 g is the same as 375cc. It all depends on a lot of factors. 375 will look compleatly different on me to what it would on another girl xxx

Re: CCs or grams??
thanks! Didn't know if there was any difference between CCs or grams. Completely agree, it's just because of my frame that they didn't look right for me xx

Re: CCs or grams??
It's very hard isn't it, to know what size breast you think you will end up. The best thing I did was to take in a picture of a pair of boobs I liked. And show them to your surgeon. That way your surgeon will get a good idea of what you are after. His idea of say a D cup could be different to yours. What sort of look are you after? And do you know what implant you are interested in? What size would you like to be ? Xx

Re: CCs or grams??
I know they always ask what you're after but obviously looking a particular size & the actual measurement you get could be totally different!
I'd like to look a full C-cup. I'm pretty petite (clothing size 6) but have zero upper pole fullness so that'd be good too!
been advised today that a partial under placement would be best because I am so small around the upper part of my ribcage xx

Re: CCs or grams??
Hello!
I would have thought your too tiny even for 340! I know there are a couple of girls on here having 260/280 at size 6 and ending up with E's!
Your surgeon knows best though lovely :)
Have you got any other consultations planned?
I'm size 8 I wear a 32B currently, and I'm having 345cc.. looking at about 32DD/E - but I'm not too fussed on size, I just want to look in proportion and good in a bikini!! :) xx

Re: CCs or grams??
Picture's of the size and look you are hoping to achieve & perhaps some of what you wouldn't want is a good way of letting your surgeon see what you have in mind, as just describing what you are after you can't be sure the surgeon is visualising what you are meaning.
Along with pictures and your unique measurements the surgeon will have a better idea of what you have in mind & using their expertise can then work out the size-shape & profile of implant required to get you your desired result.
Do go back & see surgeon as many times as it takes until you are confident/ happy with your choices.

Re: CCs or grams??
Yes your idea of a d may be different to the surgeons, both of which will most likely be completely different to the reality of what a d is! Do the rice test and collect some photos then go back for more sizing advice. It's a difficult decision to make!

Re: CCs or grams??
Sarahlou, I'm actually kind of starting to think the same thing - this was my first appointment with a surgeon so a long way to go yet.
That's it really, I keep saying I want a full C cup but looking like that & what I would actually measure are two different things!
Mirren, I've got an album on my phone at the moment (boobspiration) so think next time I'll make sure I show the surgeon that as well as just chatting with them xx

Re: CCs or grams??
Try not to focus on a cup size, surgeons don't work with them, and whatever they tell you will be wrong! Mine was all yeh, it'll give you that nice C cup you're after...I'm a dd/e! It's all relative though, a D on a 32 will be the same volume as an F on a 28. Focus on the look you're after.

Re: CCs or grams??
As size perception can be way out a good way of seeing the actual difference in sizes , is next time your out shopping in town pop into the lingerie dept of a store & check out the different cup sizes in bras your band size. XXX

Re: CCs or grams??
You will feel more happy when you have a surgeon that you totally trust. You should feel confident that he will give you something that fits your frame. It's a lot to think about otherwise. Yes of course you should have your Input but ultimately he should send you away feeling comfortable with what he has said. Xxx

Re: CCs or grams??
Couldn't agree more! As much as I have an idea I always think that as the expert the surgeon should give you enough confidence and reasons for their choices that you don't question their decisions that much xx

I did that with my boy friend [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - I was like 'do you like this' 'would you like my boobs to be this big?' Hehe
Oh no :( does he work in any other clinic.
I jumped from one to the other because I didn't want to wait 3 weeks! X
