upper pole strap?
Hey ladies, wonder if any of you can help -- I am now wearing the delightful upper pole strap. I forgot to ask my PS if I'm supposed to wear it 24/7 -- I know he said it's fine to take it off if I'm going out for the night or something like that, but does that mean I'm supposed to wear it day & night? If you had one, how long did you have to wear it for?

Re: upper pole strap?
Hi Orika, I had a strap over the top of my boobs for two weeks after my op, it was there 24/7 to help implants fall into the pocket rather than settle high, before scar tissue forms around it and keep it high. I would think you would have to keep it on 24/7 for good affect, you could call to clarify though x

Ohmygod
I am def going to have to call to clarify!

Hehe, dont worry hun, its all worth it in the end better than having them too high x
Re: upper pole strap?
Sorry to hijack but this post has got me wondering... Is it only people with unders who need a strap? Does it depend on which surgeon you have or which company you go with as to wether you get one? xx

Re: upper pole strap?
Some girls with overs have them but i dont think theres much need in that because implants over the muscle drop quite quickly. Its mostly for unders because of the muscle holding onto the implant.
It does depend on the surgeon (not sure if its anything to do with the company) as i've seen some overs that have them and unders that dont and vica versa x

I didnt know I would need one until after the surgery and my PS told because my muscles were quite tight, I would have to endure, I mean, wear one...

I know! Fingers crossed it's just for 2 weeks and I know I can handle that, just taking one day at a time. I think these first few days will be the worst *sigh*
My PS even called it my 'instrument of torture', ha ha, VERY funny...!

I've wondered about this too as I saw these were sold on the MB website before my op but my ps didn't say anything about wearing one (and I had forgotten about it by the time I got my boobies!)
Agree with Nads its definitely more a surgeon preference than particular companies as I am with MB and didn't have one.

Re: upper pole strap?
Maria, nooo don't say that!! You have the same PS as me too! Arggh!
I am seeing him on Thursday so I'll find out then how long he reckons I have to wear it. I wonder if it's negotiable!
I was also wondering if wearing the strap might increase the risk of bottoming out, seeing how it squidges your boobs down so much. :dunno:

Re: upper pole strap?
Yeah, I was worried about that, so I wore a bra, even though he said I didn't have to. I felt it stopped them being pushed down too much and felt more comfortable.
