Re: Constipated!!
Ooh Hun, painful. Lots of water, maybe give your gp a call and they can perscfibed movicol, it's a stool softer.
Other than that mYbe try a constipation tablet that contains biscrodyl (sp) 1 or 2little 5mg tablets should move you !
Other option is an suppository, it's a little jelly bullet that you pop up you, it breaks down the constipation and hopefully get you moving and that only takes around half hour to work. So a quick relief .x

Re: Constipated!!
Did they prescribe you codeine or a tablet with codeine in for pain relief?

Re: Constipated!!
Are you up and moving about now Holly? I can't stress enough how much movement helps with constipation. The more movement you do this helps stimulate the bowel to help get you going naturally.
Also, you're alble to speak to your local pharmacist about this rather than having to wait for GPs appointments now. They're fully qualified to be able to prescribe whatever it is you might need that's steonger to help you get going
I found Lactulose and Movacol worked for me.
I hope you find what works for you too, but please, don't go for days in discomfort. If you're up and walking around and you're still seeing no signs of you being able to go, then get help from the pharmacist lovely. They'll fix you up with something to get you going no problem. Xx

Re: Constipated!!
Sennakot and prune juice may help it along. And cut right back on cocodAmol, use ibuprofen instead x
