Bit of an odd one - shaving !

Just a little q,
Are we ok to shave armpits before BA ? It's just that I've heard before about shaving and infection and how that some surgeons prefer you only shave your pits 48 hrs before and that's it !
I'm not sure I wana go into surgery with stubbly armpits Hysterical

Sounds silly now I've written it out panic

No question is ever a silly question here Roses nope

I can't say I've ever heard of any of the 8,000 members we have here ever mentioning not being able to shave before their op.

If you're concerned do feel free to call your clinic and check it out if only to reassure yourself, but as far as I know....we've all shaved/waxed just before surgery. Xxx

Hehe thought that was probably the case.... yes

Cookie, do you know if I'll wake with a sports bra on or will they put that on me after I'm awake and back to my room ?
Or does that depend on the surgeons preference ?

From my own experience it's always been something the nurses have helped me with after returning to my room after surgery.

Others may have found different but this has been my experience in the 5 times I've been in and out of theatre. Xx

There's no deodorant morning of op x

Re. Bra, very first ba I had it put on in theatre when I woke up I was in it.

Next couple of times , just had tape on then the nurses helped me in it x
