Just a quickie about gravity....c'mon cookie!
OK, so im not looking for an actual science lesson lol I do understand that things fall :)
WhatI wondered was...... I have furries, and they were overs. I know furries stick like Velcro so will not drop (although ive defo had some movement) will they still do the fluffing of sorts? Is this where gravity takes hold of the gel in the implant and they go from being round to being a more natural, lower pole shape??
Just wanting to know what will happen with my furries as time goes on, not many people, even on here, seem to have them.
Would be grateful for any insight here :)
Thanks girls, Jen x

They will, it just takes a lot longer with the furries. As the inner gel gets more at home in your body, it'll soften and fluff in a similar way. Not as drastically, but it will still happen. The science quite simply is that it's a gel, and gel will settle to the lowest point, like liquid.

With the furries your implants won't drop at all. Where they're placed, they'll stay. There will be no movement. The softening of your skin however may make it look like the breasts have dropped a little, they haven't of course, it's just the softening process 'of your skin tissue' after the trauma of surgery creating a more natural Breast crease. In saying that, they WILL fluff. As the outer shell of the furries allows for the gel to take on its natural form your boobs will start to fill out more.
The ONLY difference between the new forth generation highly cohesive textured implants and the polyeurothane (furries) is the shell. Both implants have the same highly cohesive gel.
It's purely because of the shells technology that are going to take a longer time to soften, it's not the gel....it's the shell. With textured they can start as soon as 2 weeks for some ladies, but for furries you're talking months...anything up to 9 months or more... However, when they do finally soften up they will have a natural movement and from what I've read unlike the textured implants that can often make your boobs feel cold, the furries don't seem to have this problem and therefore have a more natural feel to them overall. So although they do take a little longer to soften up, they're very much worth waiting for.
Just to add here that not all women will fluff...it's not guaranteed. However if the 8,000 women who've passed through, I think we've had 3 who haven't.
I think all that had the furries did eventually fluff. Xx

Thats great, thanks. I thought so, just wanted to check :)
I had read a few times on here about boobs being cold but ive never experienced that, which im glad of.
My surgeon did say that at 6 months they will be prettymuch settled to what they will look like, but that it could take a further 3 to 12 months for them to soften entirely. Im OK with that tho. And the more research I do on furries, the happier I am that I chose them. The rate of CC is pretty much non existent, and that is a biggie!
Im excited for my follow up in 8 days, hopefully be able to buy a normal bra. Im not too fussed about wires, just a basic but low cut non wired will be fine, I really like my sports bra and feel so safe when I wear it.....its like a comfort blanket lol x x

I was exactly the same with my sportsbra, still am Jen.
You won't have to ditch the bra though babe and it will still be your comfort blanket. There's no reason at all why you wouldn't be able to wear it after your all clear, I'm in a sportsbra more than I am normal bras! I just prefer comfort in my own home over prettiness. However if I'm out, it's prettiness all the way. There's nothing so good as knowing you look just as good under your clothes as you do in your clothes....and then you run home for your sportsbra again haha. X
I really wanted polyeurothane implants. These would be 'my personal choice' from everything I've read - I LOVE them!' But I have health complications and am stuck in a wheelchair and my surgeon decided they weren't right for me. But....if the CC does return then he'll re-evaluate and has agreed I can have them then. But fingers crossed CC doesn't re-occur and I'll be having the anatomical 410s which highly cohesive gel textured implants being my second choice im more than happy to go with.
It's fab reading your progress though Jen and I hope you stick around long enough at least for us to be here with you as they fully heal and to read the changes you have ahead. Xx

You already answered my next question which was to be would it be detrimental to the healing and settlingposition to keep them strapped up in a sports bra constantly. Glad to hear not as I love them :) x
