No option but to have the bigger size!! Annoyed!

Hey girls!! So I had my op yesterday and I'd ordered both sizes 400/425 and 450/425 when Dr frati first came to see me he asked what size I wanted and I was unsure so he gave me 5 minutes to decide. When he came back he said he'd been to check the implants and there was only the bigger size ordered for me!! Dr frati said to me not to feel pressurised into having the bigger size but the op would need to be rearranged! I drive all the way to Manchester there was no way I was backing out!!! I would not have been able to get time off work again so had no choice really. I would have preferred the smaller size but hopefully they will turn out ok. They look ok at the moment. What would your advice be girls!! Xxx

I would of been annoyed to, and as you said you can't just reschedule another day. Plus you get yourself all hyped up ready for the op, there was another lady on here who had the same problem. See how they settle, I think you'll be fine. x x

I think you definitely have a right to be annoyed, but I think the difference in cc size once in your body is minimal. I've found out that I have had high profile put in which isn't what I had wanted, but I shall wait to see how they settle. Did you have unders? If so it'll seem like you lose some of the volume anyway. Mine seemed huge yesterday, but now I am thinking I should have gone bigger aa I think I'll end up looking like a c at best.  How are you feeling today? Ate you home now? Xx

Yeah I was annoyed, had my heart set on the 400/425. Thing is that small amount could mean the difference between having problems or not. I will be contacting Mya see what happened! Xx

Boobies2be, just to clarify - you do NOT lose volume with unders. This is a myth, and scientifically impossible. If you've had X cc's added, you'll be X cc's bigger. 

Jess, I totally agree you have every right to be annoyed...but ultimately you've now agreed to have these implants put in your body, so the clinic cannot be held liable. You were informed before the procedure and given the option to wait, so I'm afraid that theres nothing that can now be done. I'm sorry, I know of this isn't what you want to hear. 

However, I'm sure that as they start to settle and get softer they'll be fine. Are you worried about the weight difference, i.e. bottoming out etc? Your surgeon wouldn't have gone ahead with the op if he didn't think it was safe for you. I think if you speak to the clinic, you'll have you're grievances noted, but nothing will come of it.

I'd be so annoyed too...it's a shame companies can't get simple admin right. But I agree the surgeon wouldn't have gone ahead if he felt they would pose a risk to you or not for appropriately. If it were me, I'd be looking up the dimensions of the implant in the product catalogue just to reassure myself of now inch difference

Just to reassure myself of how much difference in mm's they are. You at find the are just a few mm's wider and the same projection so may not make too much difference.

Have to agree with charli, ultimately you did choose to go ahead with the surgery depspite them offering you another date with the implants you ideally wanted. 
And I'm sure you would have got travel thrown in for their mistake.

However you decided to go ahead and agree to surgery so the clinc would not be liable what so ever. 
Yes they've made the mistake of not odering both sets of implants but you DID choose to ahead with the bigger option. 

The diffrence of 50cc can make a diffence I'll be honest. 

I'm sure once they start to settle you may feel diffentently

This probably sounds  horrid but you did have the option.....when you arrived. You could of expressed your anger and perhaps fought for  compensation for your time. ...fuel  etc...and rearranged. ...after all its your body!  
It must of been frustrating but if you felt so strongly you wanted the smaller. ....then you should not of gone ahead.

Charlii that's good to know! I hear all the time that unders lose some of the appearance because of the muscle pushing it down...glad to hear thats not actually the case!

Jess, I think perhaps the beatvthing now is to see how they settle. You may well end up loving them as most of us on here, myself included, have all been guilty of saying we had wished we has gone slightly bigger ultimately. I hope you're not feeling too down xx

Is it just 25cc difference? 400/425 versus 425/450 assuming you're having a different size in each boob? I'm sure you'll end up loving them once the swelling goes down you'll probably be pleased you went bigger! 400 is a sizeable implant anyway so you were obviously wanting a little impact! It's true most of us get boob greed!

I was struggling to pick a size, one minute I was all for the bigger size then the next I wanted the smaller. I was offered 425/450 first off anyway,(yeah slightly of sized)I'm the one who wanted tho order the smaller size too. As I said to Dr frati maybe it's fate! Thing is I can't rearrange ive booked time off both my jobs, my partner took a day off uni so there was no way I was going home empty boobed! I spoke to my PC and she said they had ordered both! Strange!! I think they look ok now, I'm sure il love them, I was just annoyed tbh. Xx

Ah Hun can see why you were annoyed, you put so much trust into one person it's a knock when they do something unexpected. But as the other girls have said it's hardly any difference in cc, and most people wish they went bigger so I'll reckon you'll be v.happy!!x

This prob sounds weird but I actually didn't even know what cc I was getting. I tried on the Sizers and said this is what I want to look like and he was like fine, you'll be a C maybe a D cup. I said great and that was it. So I actually didn't know until after I got home from the op and read the card which said 350cc. It didn't matter to me and I love my boobies!  You'll love yours too.

Not sure which brand of implants you have had but do know that in the natrelle inspira range the difference between the sizes is 0.25 cm width &  0.1cm projection, as Mammamia has said it may help put the size difference in perspective if you look up your brand size catalogue.

I can imagine that was annoying, but doubt it made that much difference. I think our ops are such a big deal that we get anxious about anything and everything - although not to say I wouldn't have been annoyed too.

I booked my op in June and didn't have it till October so like you rearranging would have been totally out of the question.

Just to clarify. ANY. Difference in CCs or measurements between implants DO make a difference. If they didn't it wouldn't be worth the manufacturers time making the differences between sizes. 

I'm in full agreement with Charlii Jess. Yes, I can fully see how annoying it must have been for you to have arrived at the hospital to be told one of the sizes you were considering weren't there. But.... Regardless of the inconvenience it may have caused you to have cancelled for a later date at your own convenience you DID have the opportunity to decline and wait for the other implants to come available to you. But 'you' and not your surgeon decided to continue with the surgery and whether you're happy or not with the size most clinics make it quite clear that they will not replace implants based on not being satisfied by size. 

It's hard telling members things we know they may not want to read but it's best we be honest Jess so you know what you're dealing with babe. 

Hopefully as healing continues and you've had time to adjust to having your new boobs you will come to feel much better about them hun. Xx
