Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Hi girls,
I had my op yesterday. 340cc, unders.
I wanted to cry when I saw my new breasts in the mirror. I look like I have huge pecks.... my side profile looks square. My surgeon Gary Traynor is very reputable and he says that its normal and they will drop eventuelly....I am still unsure as I shared a ward with other girls who had unders like me and theirs looked lovely.I feel abnormal. Like a freak.
I am trying to be optimistic but its difficult. I feel so down...and i am in severe pain.
If any of you girls had a similar experience please get in contact. Will they really fluff after two months?

Awww hun
Please don't worry, it sounds normal to me
Have you watched this video that nads posted?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
its the 6th video down, 'stages of healing after breast augmentation'
The lady in that video has extremely square boobs, but look how fab they look after a few weeks! Everyone is different hun and if Mr Traynor says that its normal I'd listen to him, he's a good surgeon x
Are you taking your meds for the pain? Make sure you don't miss any
I don't think there is anyone on here who had unders who didnt drop and fluff after a while, I had overs but I'm sure other girls will be along to reassure you
You just rest up and take it easy and try not to worry, I'm sure that you will soon be saying how much you love them xx
[Edit: Here's the embedded video if you want to have a peek now. I would still advise having a look through the other vids too.]

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Hey lovely,
What you're describing is completely normal. Your boobs will look either square and hard if you had unders, or round and very pointy and hard if you have overs. They really don't look appealing as soon as you've had surgery, there's swelling, possibly internal bruising, fluid, not to mention the muscles are getting used to something completely new!
The reason they're that shape at the moment is becasue your muscle is adjusting to the implant that's underneath them. You'll really see changes within six weeks, and even more from six weeks to three or four months PO.
Did you do much research before your op at all? If not, don't worry, have a read through here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Also, take a few pictures everyday of your boobs, and don't look at them until a week or two after your surgery date... you'll be amazed how much they change without you realising.
xx

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Ah hun the ladies have given you great advice it really is completly normal with unders they can look like this for a few weeks before the muscle starts to loosen and let the implant settle take a look at the video rachel posted it shows how much they will change over a matter of weeks try not to worry hun

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
The other girls have said it, at 1 day post op with unders you have alot of changes to come. A breast augmentation is not an overnight process, it takes months to see your final result so hang in there
Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
they will change and get better hun i had overs and didnt like mine the first month they were so high up and like melons on my chest now they look really natural

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Please dont worry. Although I had overs ,so its a bit different, I too was devastated at the initial appearance . I went to see the nurses for reassurance because mine were so swollen I felt like a big pervy wierd porno star! Everything settled and within a few weeks they looked fine. Post here as much as you want we will all reassure you whenever you have a worry.

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Dont worry hun, its very very early days. I had unders but mine didnt look square, they looked very round, pointy and far apart and in time they lost the far apartness and pointiness and become lovely and round looking and so will yours x x

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Everyone's already given great advice but I also want to add - I think it's a really emotional process getting a BA, as well as a physical healing process. I felt up and down emotionall, and still do, and it takes adjustment of the mind as well as the body. I'm partly blaming it on all the meds too ;)

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Dont worry hun! When I woke up from mine I had two very pointy boobs...that reminded me of madonna boobs in her pointy bra!! Only way I could describe it! I had unders too! They looked completly seperate to each other (To take a clevage photo from my POV I had to take two seperate photos!) Now the lefty has dropped lovely..and just waiting for the right to catch up. They are lovely and soft and I get a clevage! So dont worry. Its all normal. You will be amazed how different they feel in a week!!

Hiya
I've found these pictures on 'make me heal' which shows how square the implant can look but over a short period of time, drops into place
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Hope this helps

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
So glad about this post... I had no idea what to expect pre op and I think if I'd have looked like the first day of the make me heal post I'd have feared the worst and thought if made a huge mistake...
The great thing is the support here us second to none alot if these girlies have gone through if all and know what they are talking about ... I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about at all - seems perfectly natural part of the process... I bet the girl in the bed next to you thought yours looked normal and hers didn't seem quite right ( we are all guilty of bring our own worst critics!)
thanks for creating this post as I think you will have saved me a panic too... Happy healing and I think the best thing to do is the pictures idea then you'll be sbld to see exactly how much they are changing .. Which will be encouraging x cc

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Thank you all who have replied to my post. Its been only 5 days since my BA and I am feeling alot more "stable". I was so bitterly disappointed when I saw my square boobs..and feeling ill from the operation didnt help either.I am so much more positive thanks to the lovely encouraging replies I have recieved.I think I would have gone into a deep depression if it wasnt for this forum.
Wow, what am emotional rollercoaster jounrney it has been so far!
Thank you all again. xxxxx :ghug:

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
hiya hunny, i hope you are feeling better and starting to like your new boobies.
like the other girls said they will change soo much over the months.
i had unders twice and they do take alot longer to settle and look a more natural shape. overs tend to stay much the same shape as they are not held down by tight muscles.
take pics every week and look back on them you will see such a difference.
hope you are ok hunny.

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
Hi. Thanks for the concern. The top edge of my breast has dropped very slightly and they are a bit softer...still square but I am hopeful.
I can at least move my arms around more without squealing in pain. Geez.
I think I will suggest to my surgeon to warn girls of the various possible shapes your breasts can have after surgery. I really didnt expect to look like Mrs Arnold Swarznegger... and then to be told that I cant hide them in a bra for the next 6 weeks.
I am currently wearingg fluffy, frilly loose tops. Feel tres sexy. lol.

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
glad you are feeling a bit better hunny, they will continue to drop into a more natural shape all the time.
if you are not wearing a bra this should help that process along even faster.
you will soon forget how they looked to begin with hun and start to enjoy them and wearing little tops.
be patient......i am the worst person EVER to tell anyone this lol.
i am sure you will grow to love your new pups soon though.

Hiya hun, like the others have all said it is totally normal, it takes time for them to drop but just try to be patient as you will soon have the boobies you have always wanted. Happy recovering hun, xxxx

Re: Operation yesterday and hate my shape!
.x. nothing new to add as all the other girls have given you great advice but seriously don't worry about it at this early stage, I had unders and mine were really swollen and really really pointy and horrible for the first week or two before they started to change and settel down and look more 'normal' they are nice and round and natura looking now but to start with they looked ridiculous!! It's normal and I'm sure you will see big changes over the next few weeks and even more after a few months xxxxxx
