Boob job insurance?
Hey Ladies,
So this may sound like an odd question but i shall ask anyway ... is there any such thing as boob job insurance available?
The reason i ask is as per my posts in 'complications and revisions', after 23 months of having fury Brazilian 345 partially unders with Mrs Kat in Birmingham, one has bottomed out :(
Mrs Kats after care only lasts for one year which is a big shame for me and anyone else who just pushes that mark. I was expecting a revision somewhere down the line but never only 23 months in. The revision itself is going to cost a fortune, i am concerned that after all this time, energy, stress and money that it could happen again, especially after the lousy one year after care that Mrs Kat offers. Therefore wondered if there is any such thing as boob job insurance?
I would be interested to hear your replies, if any?
Thank you :)

There isn't in terms of health or car insurance, however, if you look above there is a sticky re baaps insurance, which gives you further aftercare. However this is only available with baaps surgeons. Other than that, I'm afraid not

Re: Boob job insurance?
Sorry Charlli i have no idea what you mean by 'sticky', i have looked above and can't see anything regarding BAAPS. I will try in the search bar. I did however after looking into it all, seen this yes cover on the net, what wasnt clear though was how much extra this is and whether if is up to the surgeon to offer this or whether you could ask for it, depending on whether they are a baap surgeon mine is).
WooWoo55 - WOW! Thats amazing! three years is good compared to the year i get. Who did you have your operation with?

In the general BA forum, all the stuff that doesn't move at the top, they're the stickies. Under the 'October buddies' etc.
Be aware of the difference in nuances though. Some may offer prolonged aftercare, some a product warranty, some may cover certain parts of a reop only. Make sure you read the small print thoroughly.

Re: Boob job insurance?
I think mybreast provide 5 years aftercare. Not entirely sure what it covers though. I went with spire (1 year aftercare) and then got the baaps insurance to cover me for an additional year.

If there is such a thing as insurance I can guarantee it won't cover pre existing conditions, so won't be of any use to you now I'm afraid.
Sounds like woowoo got a good deal with £150.

Re: Boob job insurance?
Woowoo was that extra £150 extra for the premium implants and hence the extended cover/guarantee for the implants only? Or does it also cover you for surgeon/surgery costs? Wish spire had this option!

Re: Boob job insurance?
I get a "lifetime guarantee" with my natrelle implants, which I interpreted as meaning I'd get replacement implants but all the big expenses of surgery I'd still have to fork out for.

Yes that's right kez, I've got the same with my nagor. And I think they define lifetime as 10 years. Cheeky buggers!

Re: Boob job insurance?
Oh wow what clinic did you go with as it is very very rare to get any aftercare, towards surgery, and not just the implants only after the 3 year mark alot of the girls here pay the extra but it only incudes the new implants xx

Re: Boob job insurance?
Transform only cover for 3 years now, they changed their policy in march apparently. When I had my initial surgery I was covered for 10 years, but now bcos i have a rupture & need to have a revision i loose my original warranty :( I should really have 7 and half years warranty left, but now I have to pay £150 to extend my new warranty from 3 years to 6 boooo!! But its deffo worth it bcos you never know whats around the corner, iv only hand my implants for 2 and a half years! Having my revision next sunday x

Re: Boob job insurance?
Hi Kezjb, yes i am aware it won't cover me for my current revision but moving forward with the new surgery i want to try and ensure i get as much cover as possible as i don't believe a year is good enough. As Lindalocked said 'anything can happen' which it has, for me only 23 months in and Lindalocket 2 1/2 years.
Lindalocket - may i ask how much your revision surgery is costing? Im dreading to hear how much mine will be, I'm waiting to have an ultra scan first, although 1 implant is clearly displaced, we need to check there are no other issues.
As for the £150 insurance that other members are discussing it sounds like thats the fairly new BAAP insurance which is brilliant in my opinion. I have contacted my clinic about this to check Mrs Kat offers it but waiting to hear back off them

Re: Boob job insurance?
Hi TinyScarecrow
Sorry to hear about your problems.
If you do end up having to pay for a revision, it might be worth contacting Nuffield Health. That's where I had my BA done. They aren't the cheapest but they use BAAPS and BAPRAS surgeons... and the aftercare has no time limit.
Good luck!

Re: Boob job insurance?
the nuffield no limit aftercare I know for sure needs to be looked into my was private on his own and then after I had my op he tried a few month down in manchester then came back and does 40% his ops with nuffield and their aftercare isnt life time limited, another few girls at the start of the year got stung by this too and they have now found out that its just the year that they covered surgery wise. but the implants are
I have had one lot of surgery on aftercare and then Im looking at another reop in dec
all the big companies really really know how to word the aftercare so it sounds amazing then when girls go to get help years down the line the aftercare is done and ended at 1/3 or 5 years its such a shame xx

Re: Boob job insurance?
I will chick! :)
I think the best bet is the BAAPS insurance, i am just waiting to hear back off my clinic, the surgeon must be registered with BAAPs which mine is but still waiting for an answer (frustrating) :z
