6 months post op - help!
Hi ladies,
First of all my apologies for not being on here for ages, and secondly to have to come straight back and plead for help!
The recovery has been good so far, after having a breast augmentation and unilateral mastopexy (lift) in January.
However on Saturday evening I noticed a big red mark on my vertical scar on one side.
Yesterday the red spread and I developed a yellow looking blister in the middle.
Tonight there is a couple of dark spots in the middle of the blister.
Got an appointment with the GP in the morning but do any of you know what this could be?
Thank you xx

Well ended up at a&e as this morning I woke up and it had burst
They said its infection but they don't know whether it's outside in or inside out if that makes sense?
Got a week of antibiotics and keep an eye on it.
Phoned The clinic and they have booked me a nurse appt for this week and an appt with the surgeon for end of August to check it out too.
Fingers crossed it resolves as I am thinking the worst at the mo!
Xx

Oh Kt that sounds nasty. I was going to say it might be an infection. Hopefully its on the outside and the antibiotics will clear it right up, but its good that you've gotten in with your clinic and surgeon so quick. Keep us updated with how it goes.

Thanks Charlii.
The nurse says she's happy with how it's looking now but to get an MRI done to check it all out inside. So now trying to work out how to do that!
Seeing the surgeon in a little under a month so want to get MRI done so he can review the results when I see him
Will keep you posted xx

If you're willing to fork out and not wait for the NHS, Spire do MRIs for about £150 I think

Thanks Hellsbells and Charlii, I think I have managed to book an appointment with the local Nuffield Health, had to get a GP letter though as they refused to scan without a referral. Makes you wonder how we are meant to easily organise our regular scans they advise all ladies with implants have!
Thanks Ella x
Krizzoooo my booby buddy! thank you for your kind words hun xx they are not sure what has happened, they think it could be an internal stitch working its way out (thought I'd had enough of those already in the early days lol) or it could be something more sinister. I'm worried my body is rejecting the implant. Hoping for a clear MRI so I can stop worrying about it. Hope you are doing well, your avi is fab xxx

Kt: thanks so much...all is not perfect in boobs-ville but hey..... if all was perfect it'd be a boring old world.
I do hope you get some positive results lovely, I am sure you will and that it is a pesky internal stitch that can be sorted out pronto.
Let us know, thinking of you xx
