Breast Augmentation and uplift next Friday!
Hi All. This is my first post. I'm a 39 year old mum of 2 beautiful boys. I've never had big breasts despite every other female in my family having D cups or bigger. And after breast feeding I'm now a very saggy 34b. So for my 40th I thought I'd treat myself!! So my op is next Friday the 1st of Aug with Mr Karver and The Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth. I'm going for 410CC (which should take me to a DD) under the muscle with an uplift. I'm really excited but a little anxious too and would love to hear of anyone who's had both implant and uplift at the same time especially in regards to recovery. I'm a bit of a gym bunny so would love some advice on what I could do and when I could get back into full training mode again. Also has anyone else had 410CC under muscle starting at 34b and can tell me what bra size they are now please? I'm worried they'll be huge?! Appreciate any advice xx

Can't help with the uplift or size questions but with regards with going to the gym you need to follow your surgeon advice and post op care notes. My surgeon advised I could start running again at 3 weeks post op but I started off with some gentle cardio at the gym on the exercise bike and cross trainer (no arms). Then I 5 weeks I started jogging and 6 weeks I was back to running outside. Over the next 6 weeks I have returned to my previous fitness levels but I have avoided weights & body resistance work at the gym until this week.
Hope that helps a bit and best wishes for your op.

Congrats on booking. Why not pop over to the calendar entries and put your date in so we can celebrate with you.
I cant really advise on the uplift, but recovery wise I believe its a tad longer than a straight BA as its a more complex surgery. Surgeons aftercare advise is strict, if they find you deviate from that they will whip it away faster than you can blink. Most say around 6wks before getting back into gentle training, but just because you're allowed to doesn't mean you can. My body was no where near ready to run at 6wk, more like 12 before I could start jogging again comfortably. Its different girl to girl, as with any recovery. You just have to listen to your body and what feels right for you.
