Teardrops
Hi girls, newbie here :)
So I've been recommended 310cc teardrop unders to take me from an A to a 'natural' D cup. I was told I have very little breast tissue and as I want a natural look, teardrops are recommended otherwise rounds would look 'stuck on' and 'fake'. I'm 5ft 10, Uk size 10, 62kg and slim, currently a 34A. Since the consultation I am debating changing my mind to a C incase a D is too big! (only said D as had read about everyone regretting not having gone bigger).
Anyways, I was wondering how girls that have had the teardrops have found them? What made you choose teardrops? And did the surgeon you use specialize in doing teardrop implants? (ive heard there is a 2% risk of rotation and that has been bothering me quite a bit!). Also, have you found you are still able to get a good cleavage from teardrops? Thankss xxx

Re: Teardrops
Hi welcome to Breast Buddies Twinkle,
You'll find lots of helpful information & advice in the Breast Augmentation Information section to help you better understand what's involved in having a BA & to help you prepare for an op.
It's advised that you have a few consultations to see what options are available to you and help you choose the surgeon you feel confident in getting you the result you are hoping for.
If you take pictures to consultations with you of the size and look you are after it will give the surgeon a better idea as by just describing what you are after ,their visualisation of size and look may not be what yours is.
Using your measurements the surgeon can then advise on the best implant to achieve the result for you.
You may want to pop a post in the Newbies say hello section on here so everyone can welcome you.
Feel free to ask any questions you have in this section where it's never very long before some of the lovely ladies on here are around to answer and advise you where they can.
Enjoy the forum Twinkle we have a fab bunch whom I'm sure will make you feel more than welcome. XXX

Re: Teardrops
hey hun welcome.. i second what Mirren has said but also in saying that, ive had teardrops and can give you my personal opinion on them.
I have overs however and believe mine have rotated as it is easier to rotate with nothing really holding it compared to going unders and the muscle holding it in place. Im waiting for a reop and will choose to either go teardrop unders or round overs.
Also you've been told that rounds give a more fake look. This is not true! rounds end up sloping due to the gravity and it depends on your anatomy. so try not believe round = fake.. theres somewhere on this site showing pics of rounds vs teardrop and you would never guess which is which.!! lol
I couldnt choose what i was getting as i went through publicly (something like NHS, not called that where im from) And yes i can get a great cleavage!! as you can see in my avi haha.
When you're not a newbie anymore, i'll show you my pics if you'd like? so get posting haha x

Re: Teardrops
Hiya! I would make sure you see 3 different surgeons and then you'll be able to compare all their opinions! Size wise I think 310cc would be fine and not too big as you're quite tall! I've had 330cc rounds and I'm 5ft6 size 10/12 61kg and I'm sure a lot of people would think they are small, but to me they are perfect as I wanted natural. In clothes no one would notice compared to my padded bra. Naked they seem more unnatural but still settling as only 4 weeks post op! Do lots of research and there is a post here with links to loads of before and after pics which may be helpful!

Re: Teardrops
I'm having tear drops, I want a natural look and my boobs are high on my torso so need to disguise the top of the implant which teardrops will help with.
I'm 5'3 and a size 8/10, I'm 56kg (I think ) 8st 10.

I'm having 300s too and hope to be a full D from a 34B.
I've read quite a lot about them and although higher change of rotation there are less risks with anatomicals. I'm having unders too.

Re: Teardrops
hi there
jeez reading ur stats is likexreading my own!! im 5'10'', size 10 & weight roughly 10 stone. in feb this year i had 320cc anatomical unders and went from a 32aa to a dd cup! although because of my height etc they dont look massive at all and just look as though im wearing one of my padded bras lol. i have a pic trail u can have a look at just pm me and il give u the details. although worth mentioning that im sat in a waiting area as we speak waiting to see my surgeon as im concerned about my lefty not dropping as my righty has. looking a little lop sided right now. see whar he says. but good luck in whatever u decide.

Re: Teardrops
Good to hear Mrs Mac, I've read so much about boob greed that I'm worrying I'm not going big enough, I love my 300 rice boobs, just worried I will lose some to unders, will discuss with my surgeon.

Re: Teardrops
Kez, it's a myth that you 'lose' volume to unders. It's pure science - if you add 300cc of volume, there's no where to lose it, you will have an additional 300cc! Also, I think it was our admin Nads who switched from unders to overs, same cc, and lost/gained nothing, same bra size. So don't worry about that.

Re: Teardrops
Thank you Charli, makes total sense when you put it like that, had been worrying me, rice boobs are spot on and would rather slightly bigger than smaller - frustrated we can't order them with such accuracy.

Have you had a look at my rice boobs thread in the info section? I posted some pics of my rice boobs. But physics dictates you won't lose volume!!

Re: Teardrops
Thanks everyone for your replies, you've been really helpful :) Seriously been stressing about getting the 'right size' and then hearing i'm most suited for teardrops kind of worried me further as I didn't like an added risk of anything :/ Appreciate everyone's comments :) xx

Re: Teardrops
I had teardrop unders on Friday and so far they're looking good, though it's early days, so I can't offer loads of advice. I was really worried about rotation though, and talking quite a bit to my surgeon about it. He's given me Allergan Natrelles, which he said effectively 'velcro' to the chest wall (apparently not all anatomicals do this, I think he said the other option was Nagors and that they didn't 'velcro'), so there wasn't too much risk of rotation. So might be worth asking your surgeon about what your choice of implant brands is as well x x

Re: Teardrops
(also, I've probably got quite a lot of swelling at the moment, but mine are currently cleavage-tastic! This probably depends quite a lot on your chest diameter and implant width though, so again ask your surgeon about it) x

Re: Teardrops
Im having natrelles and was told the same, apparently much smaller chance of CC too due to the textured surface.

Re: Teardrops
I have also been recommended teardrop unders due to very little breast tissue and because of the broadness od my chest, rounds may just stand out that bit too much on top. Im 5'10 also (wishing I was a size 10!) The implants my surgeon uses is nagor. Im really torn as to which size to go for. Ive tried all from 250cc to 390cc. Because I have quite a bit of skin (due to mainly a massive weight loss) I can afford to go bigger but Im still very unsure on which size to go for!!

Re: Teardrops
Your cleavage won't change. It'll be the same post as pre. However, that's not to say that there's a great one hiding in there due to lack of boobage!

Re: Teardrops
I'm 16 days post op with anatomicals, I'm really pleased I chose to go for them as I have a thin chest wall which means that with rounds the top of the implant would have been more visible according to my surgeon.
They look great and fingers crossed I don't have any issues! I did meet one surgeon who definitely didn't even give me the option which did put me off choosing them as I wanted a surgeon who would help me choose implants that are right for me, not because they don't have the skills to put them in!
Good luck!

Hiya, thanks for the reply and excuse my late one! Noticed you got yours done with Mr Tulley..recently heard about him through another forum. Was wondering if you were charged a consultation fee to see him or whether it was free? And how did you come to the decision of going with him, had you consultations already elsewhere? xx

Re: Teardrops
I have tear drops and had 320 cc partials. I love them they look so natural. I measure a 30E but I have a very small back. I was debating 270 cc and 320cc and so glad I went with the bigger. They seemed huge at first but now they ate perfect for my small frame, personally I would have been disappointed any smaller. I am now 4 months and back in the gym full time, go out bra less (under surgeons approval) and no rotation. Apparently it it does happen they just rotate it back without surgery. Xx

Re: Teardrops
Hi , if you are having difficulty choosing between the implants I would go and see your surgeon again and take pictures of the size and look you are after if you haven't already done so (pictures are a way of making sure the surgeon and you are on the same wave length as just describing what you are after you can't be entirely sure that is what the surgeon is visualising ) , in showing your surgeon pictures they will know exactly what you are hoping to achieve and using their expertise be able to advise on the implant needed to get that result for you.
