Post by Odhams3 25th June 2014, 11:23 am

Well im back In bed today my head is killing me my boobs are pretty sore again and uncomfortable and now I keep having little hot flushes :( it's my post op appointment tomorrow so hoping tho hear what's going on I'm adamant my left boob is larger than the other and a little more tender 2 touch :( but I also have a bubbling feeling in that one a lot more...
I'm really worried something is wrong just keep panicking :(

Other half said I'm not actually hot to touch, so iv no idea what's going on!
I just feel really fed up now seems I just can't get better with out something else happening.. I just want the pain gone and to enjoy the boobies!
Just starting to think was I wrong in doing this?

It others will be able to help more on the boob side of things, but just wanted to say codeine and some painkillers isomerise make me feel a little off and get hot flushes.
Hope it all settles soon and you are coming through the worst.

Hun it's still early days so don't put too much pressure on yourself. You're supposed to be resting so spending the day in bed isn't a bad thing. It's natural to wonder if you've made a mistake and worry about things going wrong, we all do! I've spent many an hour reading worst case scenarios and all the complication stories but what will be, will be, and worrying won't help us. One of mine is bigger then the other and more tender. But the other one is more yellow/bruised so it's impossible to draw conclusions based on that. Wait to see your surgeon tomorrow and I'm sure he'll reassure you. Mine kept saying to trust him until we get to 3 months when i'll more likely to a reflection of the result. Stay positive hun it will all be worth it and you'll look back and smile xx

Post by Ruthie000 25th June 2014, 1:29 pm

I really had my ups and downs in the first few weeks of having the op and worrying what is normal and what isnt.

Hopefully all will be explained at your appointment tomorrow, I know I was so happy when I say my surgeon again for my follow up. I had a list of questions and issues that I went with so I wouldnt forget anything.

In the meantime perhaps you have got a virus if you are having headaches and hot flushes. Rest, hydration and painkillers for now to see how you feel.

Cant answer as to why one boob is bigger and tender but I was advised that each implant is a separate operation so each can heal differently.

Take it easy and hope you feel better soon x

Wonky boobs at this stage is 100% normal. You've had two Operations, one on each breast, so one of them may have suffered more trauma than the other. This is why it's feeling worse. Sisters, not twins! It's going to take 3-4 weeks for the swelling and bruising to go down and for them to look less frankenboob. But they will. This is why we say over and over, be patient. Trust me, I've been there!

Bubbly feeling also so normal. It's trapped free fluid and air from the op, and will dissipate naturally into your body within a couple weeks. It may cause farty boobs, and you hear them parp every time you lift your arm! Kinda like a tub of Gak (or am I showing my age there...!)

Are you still on the codeine? Try and cut back to just paracetamol, it's what could be making you feel sick. Hot flushes are normal, you're sitting around doing nothing is this heat, and your hormones and immune system are still in Flux going what is this in here, do we attack or is it OK.

It's just a case of the booby blues. Everyone gets them at some point. It's not fun at this stage I'm afraid, but it is going to get better and in a few weeks you'll have forgotten all the bad. We're all here to help you through this x

Thank u ladies iv had only paracetamol today, finally got my headache to pass and iv spent the day in bed!

I didn't think about them being 2 seperate surgerys to be honest but of course that makes sense now!
I'm hoping ur right about my check up tomorrow I bet I will feel much better with some answers and being told all is ok?
And I still have covers on my incisions so I don't even know if they are ok so think that doesn't help if I see them tomorrow and they are ok that will also help a lot

Before having the op I don't think u realise that boobie blues will be like this or that u will get a lot of pain ect as of course every1 is diff
I'm gonna continue to take it easy and not rush myself
Thank u for all the support the poor husband has just had me in a mess with lots of tears and god knows he must be fed up of boob talk/worry me looking at them touching them lol I'm obsessed xxx

Hang on in there, it does get better!     Hug
I felt awful the 1st week , it hurt when I tried to do anything that involved using pec muscles even flushing the loo & I felt really down for no apparent reason, I bottled it up and when I was at GP for something unrelated and was asked how I was I ended up in tears and couldn't stop...poor GP didn't know what to do & just kept  handing me tissues! The following week after starting to get back to sleeping  through the night & less pain I felt tons better.
Focus on a week from now and how much better you should be starting to feel just to get you through & try to rest and let hubby pamper you in the meantime.
Your headaches and feeling unwell could be from stress & worrying that there's something wrong, hopefully reassurance at your check up should help. XXX

Thank u kez :) so pleased was starting to get rather fed up, so glad I'm on the up, they seem different with out the plasters, god knows why lol

Ahh that's when I got mine so maybe that's a reason stopping the meds!
Yh think 1 day at a time is all we can do as annoying as that is I think we jump to the conclusion that we have waited so long for our new additions that they are just going to be perfect new boobs from that day we count down 2?? Maybe there should be a few more leaflets for what to expect may actually stop us all getting a shock & bit fed up if like me u seem to get all sorts of things after

Ooo my bday was 2 days after op I layed in bed a mess lol hopefully u can enjoy yours a bit more! :) make sure u let us know how post op goes xxxx

Glad to hear you're feeling better. If they're super itchy, take an antihistamine or some ice packs over the tops should help.

There should be a button on the mobile site to switch to classic, that should give you the desktop version on your phone.
