Naproxen Empty Re: Naproxen

Im taking Naproxen for pain relief at the moment (but it barely touches the sides). Its a supercharged ibruprofen. Some say you shouldn't because its a blood thinner so would hinder healing. I would pop your clinic a call and double check with them, it might be ok under certain circumstances, i.e. no other thinners in your system (non smoker, not on pill)

Don't be worried, just call your clinic to double check but I'm sure your doctor wouldn't have prescribed it unless it's fine for you. It's not ibuprofen, but it's the same class of drugs as ibuprofen (NSAIDs). You could also speak to a pharmacist if you can't get hold of clinic but many people are prescribed NSAIDs post ops so don't worry! Always remember though that all medical advice is specific to you so best check!
