Wrong implants
Looking at the stickers my surgeon gave me, I think he has given me different sized implants to what I asked. I cannot find my reference number in the catalogue my reference ends in
360MD
on all the others in the catalogue, for example, 320HP relates to the volume and profile.
I have read on another site that my surgeon gave someone a different size than that was agreed before op. already I'm quite unhappy at how low mine look so if that is down to the wrong profile being used I will be livid.
If anyone can shed any light please let me know xx

Re: Wrong implants
Just found them in the catalogue
I have 360 moderate- I'm so upset. I didn't pay £5k to be lied to. I've just typed a letter to request my notes from the surgery manager. Not sure where I stand legally with this.

Re: Wrong implants
All options should have been discussed before hand. If there was any discussion about taking more than one implant in to the surgery, it should have been agreed to (like myself, 2sizes we discussed and taken in with the safest one chosen). If a 360mod was never discussed, it shouldn't have been anywhere near your body. I would immediately call and ask for all of you surgery and consultation notes so you can cross reference. That is a bigger and wider implant than you agreed to. Were you private or commercial clinic? I would definitely kick up a fuss.

Feel for you hun hope you get it sorted. I'm a control freak and this already worries me! Outrageous! For what it's worth, you look a lovely size in your photo

Re: Wrong implants
It was a private clinic, we never discussed 360 at all. I'm so angry and upset, as soon as I have my notes I'm going to see him with my partner and then I'm going to contact a solicitor.
The thing is I don't want more surgery , I want my money back so when I do I can go elsewhere. I'm not ready to do that again any time soon x

Re: Wrong implants
On no hun that's awful wonder why he has done that without your consent. I thought I had anatomical but when I checked my reference number in the catalogue I had extra high profile round. We did discuss this at consultation and I trusted him to choose the right implant.

Re: Wrong implants
Are you going to do anything about it Amy? Yours look fab as they are tho, I love your cleavage. I'm not totally unhappy with mine so I will live with it but as I said to my bf you don't by a Porsche and come home with a skoda. I want my money back and I am going to take legal action if I have a strong enough case x

Re: Wrong implants
I totally agree. Speak with the clinic first, and if they try and fob you off, definitely get a solicitor involved. And, I know it sounds skeevy, but don't be afraid to threaten to go public. A surgeons reputation is his best selling point, if you make notions to go to the press if you don't get what you're asking for, it may help things. (I know that's sounds really trashy, but its true, and they will do their best to not have the surgeons rep tarnished. You can influence every girl on here...think of the money he'd lose)

Re: Wrong implants
I'm really happy with mine so won't be doing anything about it. Will ask at my next check though.
It's not fair that he didn't discuss this with you or tell you after why he'd changed size. My friend was meant to be having 320cc but had 350cc instead as he said they fitted better. Xx

Re: Wrong implants
I don't want them changed but not sure what I say, do I just tell him I want my money back? Thanks charlii good tip, as I found him through reputation.
I'm not unhappy totally more unhappy that it's my money and my body and my bf remembers me saying at the final consultation that I don't want him to change his mind in theatre ( as I'd heard he did with another girl).
I was expecting 320 HP. I was always worried they were too big and also that my lower breast mound was too wide and low- this would be why. As I said I won't be having an op again any time soon after this experience.

Re: Wrong implants
That's quite a big difference 320 to 360 and different profiles if that is what's happened. I hope you get some answers ASAP. After your ba were they bigger than what you expected? X

Re: Wrong implants
Yes they were bigger and wider than I expected, as I initially wanted 270 It was a shock. When I thought they were 320 I was happy to live with it as it was my choice. I definitely wanted the higher profile.
I've booked to see him on the 13th after I have examined my records and had legal advice from my grandad (solicitor) . Will also make an appointment with the director of the hospital and then the independent adjudication services before legal action. And as charlii said, I will tell him I'm going to the press,

Re: Wrong implants
Omg that's bad I didn't think this would be allowed to happen? Have you got rounds now or anatomicals still?

Re: Wrong implants
Still anatomical, I would have noticed as I was desperate for the teardrop shape which I had from day 1 x

Re: Wrong implants
That's ok then, they usually use a size in the theatre so test what suits you best. A surgeon who just wants your money and doesn't care to much would have just given you what you want even if he knew it wouldn't suit. Bit hard to ask you at the time being unconscious lol. Maybe he tried the other and saw it wouldn't give you the look you want? In which case you should have been told asap after. When did you have them done? There will be many changes over the fittest fee weeks x

Re: Wrong implants
Only had them 8 weeks on Friday. I was just looking at them and they are pretty nice I do like them I'm more angered that someone thought they could play god with my body and make the choice for me. I feel violated and cheated more than unhappy with how they look. I won't be having a re op either way x

Re: Wrong implants
Yes, I am quite happy with the look tbh I wanted the low and teardrop look. I am just so cross that I wasn't consulted and informed.

Re: Wrong implants
You're 100% right Rach, my surgeon did end up going with a different size during the op but I was informed as soon as I woke up and had agreed prior to me going down to theatre that if he thought another size would better give me the outcome I wanted then he would do that in theatre. Bottom line you should at the very least been informed after the op!! Xx

Re: Wrong implants
dont let them know that you are happy with the look then as they will just say that the surgeon had to fit the size that you have for the look that you wanted and then there will be a hard push to get money back xx

Re: Wrong implants
I'm not going to say anything about then at first. I'm going to just ask why he did it and then get legal advise before I say anything. I'm pretty sure he will say that we discussed it which we certainly didn't. I'm really fortunate that I am happy and my result is the look I wanted. He could do this to someone else and totally ruin their experience by going to big and wrong size. X
