Not looking forward to...
My ba is next Sunday the first of June and I'm really not looking forward to not being able to pick my son up etc
. I'm going to be getting help but its getting me quite down just thinking about it! How quickly were some of you ladies able to do stuff again and how did you get a wash and stuff in the first week? Xx

Washing etc I used baby wipes and headed to the barbers for a hairwash. You're going to be grim that first week and it's going to be tough, but you'll pull through
I can't help with the baby stuff. You can still have lap cuddles, but picking up is going to be 6-8wks I think. Not what you want to hear, but it can invalidate your aftercare if you're not careful with it.

Hi sweet you can't get your boobs wet at first I'm told and you can't soak your boobs in the bath for the first 12 weeks for infections. Did you sort out your payments for your boobs I'm getting a loan for mine. Good luck Hun and hope you have a smooth recovery and your boobs will be ok xx

Re: Not looking forward to...
Found the first week really difficult as I have 3 kids under 9 so I couldn't do much for them. Luckily my hubby was off work so literally did everything. I washed my hair over the bath (very quickly) day 2. Managed to have a bath when I got back from the hospital with some help getting in and out. I had a shower day 6 after I'd had my dressings removed. You'll be fine don't worry about that x

You can have shallow waist deep baths, you just can't get the incisions wet.
