advice about sizing and profile
Hi, Not sure whether to post this is this section or uplift section. I need both uplift and implants and have had several consultations but am still v confused about what size and profile I should go for. The surgeon recommended medium profile with 250 (I think) but I was unsure if to go with 340. Has anyone got any advice please??

Re: advice about sizing and profile
It all depends on the look you want to achieve as long as your surgeon has been well informed and possibly even seen pics of the look you are after, they tend to know what's best to use xx

I think I need to look at some more photos. I've chosen to go to Belgium with a surgeon who is registered as a specialist surgeon with GMC and Belgium society for plastic surgery (after painstaking research and many debates with friends and family). thanks ladies, I'll keep looking.

have you had several consultations? it's always worth having a few to see what the general consensus on recommendations is, and if they roughly all agree on what they would give you.
if there is a big gap, go and see more surgeons.
what are your stats hun? 250 is a pretty small implant in general (i had 265 and would never go smaller, i'd rather have gone bigger as most girls say).
a good tip is to make yourself some rice boobs in different sizes and try them on, see what look you prefer.
also have a think about the look you want to achieve. is it projection that is most important to you (when you look at yourself in side profile, projection is how much they protrude/stick out), or do you prefer a side boob look (when you look at yourself front on, how much they stick out at the sides).
projection is achieved with higher profile/narrower base implants, and side boob would be medium profile / wider base.
yes do look at as many pics as you can to find out what look 'you' want, and then you should discuss that look in detail with the surgeon you have chose and trust x

Re: advice about sizing and profile
yes exactly. if you type rice boobs into the search bar on the top right of this website, you'll find some good guides on how to make them.
google your product catalogue as well of your implant brand, to find out which base width you would be having. cut out some cardboard in that width, put a nylon sock around the cardboard, then pour the rice in. tie the sock in a knot (funnily enough it then resembles a nipple), mould into shape, and there you have your rice boobs :)
pop them in a sports bra and try on some different clothes so you get a feel for them x

Re: advice about sizing and profile
Blue has said it all really. Yes trust your surgeon, as long as that's the look you want. Medium profile will be much wider than a high or xhigh, giving a 'flatter' look than a hp. Id definitely try and get the measurements for that implant so you can be sure. Also, even if you're a dead cert on this surgeon, theres no harm seeing a handful of the free consults with others to get a general consensus as to what they think would be right for your body.

If you are measuring out the rice by weight, I found that you need to knock off about 10% to give you the right volume. So a 260cc implant would need about 235 grams of rice.
