WHAT THE?!

I am going to have a moan, apologies in advance. 

Some of you may remember a few months back my best friend made some really horrible remarks about me having my BA (eg- 'you really think this is going to change your whole life, don't you?!' and cross questioning me about it in a room full of strangers at her home). 

I visited her at the weekend and she was saying that her boobs are now deflated from a little bit of weightloss (she has dropped a cup size) and her boyfriend then says 'well, i'll just give you £4k to go get them done then'.    

You could tell this was a way of sort of breaking it to me... as we all just sat there in silence. 

Aside from the fact that this would make her a massive hypocrite, I sort of feel like she's only doing it to steal my thunder if you like.  I am only getting this done for me, NO ONE else but I have wanted this for so long, I sort of feel like I have not only been judged by her in the past but now this is sort of being taken away from me.  Am I being silly? :(

No, you're not being silly at all! I would feel the same. I wouldn't call that sort of person a "best friend". A best friend doesn't make bitchy comments about you and try to belittle you in front of other people. I think her and her boyfriend planned to say that in front of you aswell just to stick the knife in, not nice at all!
I would ask her how come she's all for surgery all of a sudden?!

I don't think you at being silly either Hun...im not sure it sounds like she is doing it for the right reasons....for her I mean...I would just carry on with your plans and leave her behind...xx

Agree with the other girls, she's obviously jealous judging by her comments before and now she is wanting it done too ..... ignore her honey xx

thanks ladies, i'm glad you agree with me.  It was the "oh i'll just give you £4k" to have it done that really got to me as well as i'm really battling to save the money myself to do this and money is always something they boast about. 

I thought it she mentions it again I will ask her why she's all for it all of a sudden, like you suggested cheekymich, and then be overly encouraging.  Sad that this is supposed to be my 'best friend' but oh well..  

You certainly find out in life who your friends are...xx

She certainly sounds like a horrid woman! and certainly no best friend! A best friend should be supportive of you if they agreed with what you are doing or not, and not make comments and embarrass you in front of other people.  She sounds very jealous to me that you will have better boobs than her and she is trying to out do you! 

Please don't let her get to you and wear you down as you don't deserve that! Be strong and think that she is just a stupid jealous cow who has crap boobs! Maybe she won't go through with it anyway and she was just saying it to see what you reaction was going to be?

Sounds familiar hun. You learn you have to rise above it and take it with a pinch of salt.
Somethings in life make you re-evaluate your friendships unfortunately. But you have to at the same time think to yourself ...what "really" matters.
 Does it matter that she is getting a BA now? No, what matters is that you are and your happiness because it's no contest, ultimately as long as you are happy, having BA for all the right reasons for YOU.

She may feel threatened in a way, that you are having yours...etc. But that's very shallow and childish.

She may genuinely be unhappy and want fuller/larger boobs, or simply want BIG boobs for attention.

Think of yourself, don't let any one else sway your decision or make you feel pants about it all.

Just wanted to echo Krizzooo really - lifes not a contest, and those that think it is clearly have little to focus on. She might be being a di*k, she might be genuinely unhappy and realised that if you can be brave enough to take that step, maybe she can...but the ways shes gone about it is just playground tactics. I'd just ignore it unless shes going to take it seriously.

yes, looking back on it I think it was said to see what my reaction would be, but thankfully I stayed calm and didn't freak out haha!  I'm very quiet and soft spoken but have a very short fuse!
