Waiting for consult
Hi girls, after your opinion. I am not the most patient so sometimes need a reality check to c if I have unreasonable expectations:) so took the afternoon off work, paid £100 for consult then travelled 2 hours to meet surgeon for first consult. I got a call on my way up to say he is running late as is in theatre and I'm now told I'm going to hv to wait at least an hour to see him...is this the norm? X

Re: Waiting for consult
Hey hon, it may be that something has gone wrong or surgery has been more complex than thought therefore a patient in theatre will take priority over a consultation . I has to wait 40 mins for a consult with a surgeon who wasn't in surgery :( not sure on others experiences but sure someone else will be along in a moment. Hope you're not waiting too long !! xxx

Re: Waiting for consult
Ok tx that made me feel a bit better, I know there is usually a reasonable explanation but I like things to run to plan.. It makes me v uptight otherwise. :( hopefully it won't be too long x

Re: Waiting for consult
I had to wait 2 hours after my appointment time at my consult... the PCC gave me a discount though as she could see me getting fed up. x

Re: Waiting for consult
I've had to wait a few times when I have been to appointments. I think Mr Hassan has been extremely busy today. I contacted him about an issue I had this morning. The Elite Office got straight back to me and he also arranged for me to see him tomorrow to alleviate my concerns. I am very happy with this.I know one of the other ladies on here has been to see him today for an urgent appointment.I know the delays are not ideal and very frustrating but it seems to be the nature of things in this 'game'.
Hope all went well when you finally got in there
