Getting paranoid
Starting to get really paranoid now as my BA is getting closer. I knew it would happen and tried to prepare myself for it.
Am constantly looking at myself in my bra thinking "why are you doing this, your boobs look fine" but I know without the bra that's when they look small. I'm imagining they are getting bigger, Which is quite possible a tad as I seem to be putting weight on rather than losing it.
I'm also paranoid that I'm going to turn up get all my stats taken and anaesthetist come in and say "I'm sorry Miss Sylvester but you are too heavy for your height and you cannot be put under" silly I know.
I know I'm being irrational but if I'm like this at 6 weeks pre op what on earth am I going to be like in 5 weeks time!!!!!

Re: Getting paranoid
aww hunny. I think its only natural you're having all these thoughts. Thing is you are aware that you're being irrational and thhat your ps wouldn't have agreed to take you on for surgery if he had any concerns about your weight. I think it would be worse ifyou weren't having these feelings. You've had a long wait too so a long time to pick every last detail apart. Don't beat yourself up sweetheart. You'll be fine xxxxx

Re: Getting paranoid
Aw Jem we all have the same worries before our ops, i thought about every silly little thing that could happen and its completly normal.
I remember almost crying a few days before thinking why dont i just listen to everyone telling me im fine and you find yourself obsessing over your boobs! you will be fine hun and if you didnt worry it wouldnt be normal like sally said dont beat yourself up.

Re: Getting paranoid
Aw thanks girlies! My excitement is greater than my worry which is good. Plus my OH seems to be looking forward to boobie day which is a massive weight off my shoulders. Was really worried that it would affect us but he's warmed to it a lot.
Just can't wait till the 21st aug when I'll be home and pampered x x

Re: Getting paranoid
Even I have started looking in the mirror at my boobs and asking myself if they really need changed, and I havent even had a consultation yet! All of us must feel the same really - we do want to have this done, but are apprehensive as it is a big step to take.
I'm sure all of your doubts and worries will be forgotten as soon as you get to see your new and improved chest :-)

Re: Getting paranoid
hey lovely,
It's completely normal to feel worried/anzious/guilty/scared at this point in time. But, everything will be fine. How many girls on here usually have problems with their GA on the day? None that I've heard of. How many are refused the op on the day? None.
You'll be fine, the nerves will kick in, but I know you'll be alright!
xx

Re: Getting paranoid
Its normal how you are feeling, I was the same, I went on holiday and was like .. "they are not bad in a bikini, so why the hell am I doing this" but I had booked and paid for it so I knew I was going to do it no matter what. I was convinced I was going to die having a GA and even spoke to my husband about the what ifs! .. I know I sound mad but I thought it would be just my luck to die doing something vein ! lol ... obviously it was totally over the top and I was fine and in and out within a few hours !!! now I have whopping great jugs of joy and have no idea what I was worried about.
You will go through all sorts of worry and excitement. I couldn't sleep for 2 nights before but found that on the actual day I was quite calm and just went through all the motions and it was so easy.
All will be fine and if you made the choice in the 1st place there was good reason to so just remember that. All the best x

Re: Getting paranoid
I actually in a sadistic way enjoyed it all! Nurses lovely, drugs great, and getting boobies at the end of it, well win win all round! Recovery will be better for you too as you're having overs. I honestly don't regret any of it and love having boobs now, clothes look so much better too even tho I'm only a tad bigger than in my old padded bras).
So Jemmy it's all good, don't be nervous hun (and also you will probably be the most prepared BA patient there has ever been!)

Re: Getting paranoid
Hi hun, all your feelings are normal, im glad your excitment is greater than your worrying though. Its not just about size increase i guess, alot of girls start off with decent boobs but just want them to be fuller and for them to look better when naked. Glad your OH is looking forward to it now hun

I've been having pains in boobs and armpits which hasn't helped. Checked for lumps but I think I'm having pre period pains

Re: Getting paranoid
I would recommend getting your bwd measured by a ps (its hard to do it yourself) so you can match it with an implant that fits, to avoid rippling etc

Re: Getting paranoid
I'm sure he will do that on the day. I did a measure a while ago and cos I'm having high profile my implant width is only about 11cm which is good.

Re: Getting paranoid
Thats a very narrow implant hun, mine are 11.5cm and my breasts were super narrow pre op!! I would call up, get your bwd measured and try and match it, you dont want implants too narrow for your frame, or ones too wide x
Re: Getting paranoid
I just had another look at the Mentor Catalogue and my implant is 11.7cm x 4.8cm.
