Immune system Empty Immune system

Post by 2522laura 3rd March 2014, 1:55 pm

Has anyone found that since their BA they have had a non-existant immune system?

I had my surgery 30th October and have pretty much had a bad cold since then, tonsilitis once and 2 ear infection, the latest of which burst my ear drum. Its so unheard of for me to be ill so much but I just cant shift the germs.

Just wondering if it could be linked to my surgery as it started the week after my op.

Thanks x

I'm pre ba but I'm pretty sure after any surgery your resistances will be lowered a little.

Maybe some immune boosting vitamins could help? Sanatogen do a good daily immune vitamin, I take them as I work I a school and kids are gross!

Hope you start to feel better soon x

Oh you poor thing. I've not had this, but i suspect your immune system is weaker post surgery as your body is using it's energy to heal. Unfortunately once you have caught one virus you are more vulnerable to others and your immune system will be weakened.

You need to take plenty of vits and rest as much as possible. I don't think this weather helps either, so many bugs going round. My 1 year old has back to back tonsilitus, ear infections, colds etc since pre xmas.
I hope you feel better soon xx

Hi, honey! As the other girls have said it could quite possibly be linked to your BA. Internally, your boobs may have needed a lot of energy and immune cells to heal and adjust to your implants. Obviously, if lots of energy is going into this healing process it means you have less energy and white blood cells to fight off other pathogens that enter your body.
How do your boobs feel now? Do you feel like they've healed well? I would make an appointment with my doctor if I was you because you can't keep suffering from these illnesses forever-- especially as you had your BA over 4 months ago!
Make an appointment and tell him your concerns. It might be that you just need to start taking some multivitamins or you may well be anaemic.

I really hope you're okay, babe.. Let us know how you get on :)

YOUR AVI IS FABULOUS BY THE WAY! YOU HAVE A GREAT PAIR THERE!!

Take care, lovely xxxxxxxx
