Really Tempted
HI Girlies,
So most of you know im going on holiday two month after my BA (EXCITED!!!)
im soo soo tempted to start getting my bikinis in, but i dunno what size ill be so cant buy any that are for a Cup and Back size!!
Think i can still buy bikinis that's just normal sizes.. Im Normally a Size 12 on top, sometimes a 14 but rarely depending on how big/small the sizes are. (im broad) .
There is just so many lovely bikinis out at the minute and im in LOVE . If i order any you think i should go up a size like up to a 14 or should i wait.

Re: Really Tempted
I know how tempting it is...but I would leave it for now. Sorry!
You're going for quite a large implant, and as such, you're going to need support, especially if you are allowed back into wires at that point. Anything fit by size is just not going to provide that. I would wait and see if you're going to be allowed in wires by that time, get fitted at 6wk and get some with good support in your correct size. You can get a lot of nice ones at Boux, Figleaves etc.
I know that's probably not what you want to hear...But theres no point wasting money on bikinis that might not fit!

Re: Really Tempted
Totally agree with charli hun, and I really don't want to dampen it but you may not even be allowed to wear wires or a bikini. Some woman have to remain in a sports bra for 12 weeks after!

Re: Really Tempted
Hi Miss Ball,
Yeah I know, I've been told I may still be in a sports bra 24/7. Yeah best not buy any bikinis till nearer the time.
However I did email my surgeon about flying and swimming thing he says to me.
If all goes well, two weeks minimum would be recommended- I would give you the all clear at the 10 day follow up. Breasts may still be a little tender though. . Ideally 4 weeks onwards when everything has settled.
And then I asked about swimming his reply was:
Swimming will be fine at 8 weeks. You do want to avoid direct sunlight on the scars for 6 months though ie no topless sunbathing (including sunbeds!) If you are keen to do this either tape the scars or apply waterproof sunblock with an SPF of at least 50, and apply it regularly during the day.
Xx

Re: Really Tempted
I agree with the others, babe.. Just have a bit of self-discipline for the time being and just wait it out. It's not long until you have your BA now so just start 'window shopping' for bikinis and bras and just focus on how exciting it will be for when you do actually buy them :) It would be so annoying if the bikinis you bought now were too small or if you weren't allowed to wear them due to still needing to wear a sportsbra on holiday.
You're shopping time will come honey, just wait it out and focus on getting closer and closer to your special day!xxxx
