6 days post op, dressings off, looking good!
Hi girls, just home after my nurse check and really pleased with my incisions, v neat and healing well, nurse said they were perfectly placed so i am thrilled. Need to get hubby to take pic for my avi, thinking maybe a vest top or stick with the sexy macom bra?! Nurse also said i can try sleeping on my side in a couple of nights time with pillows, think that sounds ok? I am terrified of damaging my new friends! XxDi

As long as you're under the clinics instruction its fine babe. You may find using your V-pillow best for that side sleeping transition. You can sort of position it with the the flat side to place your head on and the v part coming in as a cuddle pillow which in turn creates a kind of hole for your boob to rest in so you don't apply your body weight onto the boob, nor will you be able to roll onto it. A pair or rolled socks between your boobs will also help keep them static.
If you find you're aching or it hurts though, its your body's way of telling you that you aren't yet ready and so its best to give it another week and then try again.
Really glad all has gone so well for you greenbean xx

Excellent news greenbean, really pleased! As for sleeping - your body will let you know if youre ready for it. Took me a good few weeks before I was back to side sleeping. Definitely try with the V pillow, and Im a great advocate for a sock between the boobs, just helps to balance the weight out and stop so much achyness. But you're body itself will put you into the most comfortable position for it.

Great news :) The 1st night or 2 feels strange, but so long as you are well supported you soon get used to sleeping in all your usual positions :) xx

Thank u for ur replies and tips girls, will def do the v pillow and stuffed sock. Think i will try sat night if i can stand another 2 nights on back. I have a plate and pins in back after a horse riding accident and ALWAYS sleep on right side so its been a challenge. Hubby been squeezed out bed cos i am lying like a big starfish just now, lol. Been trying to get a good selfie of my boobles for my avi but think will ask hubby to do. Did u just upload from phone? I am useless. How u feeling? XxDi

Hey Di, I was trying to upload from phone but had trouble so ended up transferring to laptop first.
That is so lovely of your mum. I just nodded off for hour, get a really numb-bottom sleeping slightly raised.... not comfy at all.
Oh well I am sure I will find a comfy way! I feel ok really, bit achey/sore this eve.
How about you now? Has it got easier a few days on ?
xx
