Dress sizes after BA
Hi guys, I was just wondering whether once you have had a BA done you need to change your dress size? Obviously this would depend on the size of the implant you've had but I've recently (within last 6 months) been able to buy size 12 and sometimes 10 tops and don't really want to go back to sizes 14 or 16. This was due to weight loss. I was a size 18 and am now a 12.
What have all you girlies had to do?

Well done on your weight loss Gemma! my size in tops hasnt really changed maybe if somethings tight fitting then il go up a size but like you say it depends on your implant size as well.

Re: Dress sizes after BA
Hi hun. I also went from a 16-18 to a 10-12 in tops. I went from a 32A to a 32F and am still in a size 10-12 in most clothes, jackets I found quite tight especially my summer size 10's but I dont do them up in summer. I would say yes you will still be a size 12, but depending on cut style and shop it can differ.
Re: Dress sizes after BA
I am still the same size - I just fill my tops better! I went from 32a to 30E or 32d/dd and I still wear size6/8tops infact I got one last week from Miss Selfridge size 4!!(But it is floaty!!) I supposr it depends how big you go!

Re: Dress sizes after BA
Firstly, well done you for losing all that weight and what a great way to reward yourself with a BA.
Most of my clothes still fit me on top but stuff that isn't that stretchy is a bit of a squeeze. I'm generally a 10 on top and I thought I'd be having to buy huge sizes but they don't fit right and look plain silly.
I would have thought you'd still be ok with a size 12 but its one of those things - you never know what they're gonna be like. I have to say, it has curbed my spending somewhat as after my original op they changed virtually daily, then I found out I had to have a reop so thought well no point spending loads if they're gonna go bigger/smaller.
Good luck xxx

T shirts and regular tops still fit me in an 8 or 10, but if I wear a low cut top I have to go up to a 12 now! The same in bikini tops as well xxx

Re: Dress sizes after BA
Thanks for all your comments girls, you are all probably right in that I should be able to stay the same size but I'll fill them out better!!! I'm a 34a now and just cannot imagine myself with bigger boobs, I want to make sure I don't have them done too small and then wish I'd gone bigger. Has anyone here made that mistake?

Re: Dress sizes after BA
.x. i have stayed the smae size and fit into nearly all my clothes but just fill them better up top now than before!!...the only things i havn't been able to fit back into are really tight strapless dresses that were figure hugging to start with end before my BA.....it still zips up past my bum and most of my back, but when it gets to the top, my boobs fill it so much at the front now that the back will just not zip up completely at all...not even a chance....never mind though!! only 2 dresses out of all my clothes that I've come across this problem with so I'd say that unless you are having really large implants, you should be ok fitting backinto most things :-) .x.

Re: Dress sizes after BA
like most of the other girls most of my clothes still fit fine, i have to buy a 16 bikini top though as they seem to make them tiny.

Re: Dress sizes after BA
hey lovely,
I've stayed the same, the only problem I find is that some dresses with zips wont actually do up! But it's only a few, most of my clothes still fit

Re: Dress sizes after BA
Hey,
T shirts and normal tops are ok but none of my size 8 and 10 shirts fit me anymore. I had to give them all to my sister (which was very painful!!). I have to buy size 12 shirts now to accomodate my bust.
Lik Roxy said, dresses with zips don't do up around the boobs and my bikinis no longer fit me as the tops are too small but it's a small sacrifice to make!!

Re: Dress sizes after BA
this is a good thread and something I was thinking about too- I tried on my rice boobs with some of my clothes and some of the size 8 dresses didnt do up but with the 10s it was ok.

Yep, me too - anything that's a tight 'empire' style with a fitted zip around the bust doesn't do up - the rest of my stuff is fine

Re: Dress sizes after BA
Might sound daft buti had the same worry so filled a sports bra with paddin to look sort of like it did at my cosultation and pulled a few tops on - was really quite relieved to find that most still fitted (ok i know padding is squishy and stuff but it gve me an idea if the size id been told would look ridiculous dressed)
Although my OH bought me two gorgeous diamonte Henley shirts which im very sad to say probably wont fit afterwards (small prce to pay) though i know she'sno syle icon yon can always take a tip from Katie Price who oftern wears a shirt bottom buttoned up with cami top under ;o))
