Rowing again!
So, today is the first time I have used the rowing machine since my BA.
I have avoided it so far as I have been petrified about damaging a damn fine boob job and wasting £5k!
Since my BA I have been somewhat lost in the gym, not knowing how best to work out as my main workout started with the rower. I loved it and the results it gave and since then, feel I have lost cardio fitness even on my spinning bike and am not so toned.
So, I wanted to try it again. Today was the day and although I didn't go hard at it like I used to, I still gave it some welly and it didn't hurt at all!! I suppose it is quite a smooth movement so no jerky pulls, but I am so chuffed to get back on!

Re: Rowing again!
I hope so mrsBall. It seems to go so quickly but takes time to get back on track.
Jen, that's why I love the rower! It works I think 80% of your muscles. Nearly everything is working and it feels good!!

Re: Rowing again!
I'm doing synergy workouts at the gym at the moment , circuit type class run for around 12-25 minutes it's a bit like tabata instead of 20/10 seconds it's 30 seconds hard going 15 seconds rest working everything, by combining weighted excersises with. Cardio. They're brilliant.
I'm going to get into tabata training more as I e just discovered it and love the principle. X

Re: Rowing again!
That sounds fab. Where did you find that? I do interval training on the rower, bike and general gym stuff. So I do 30 seconds hard then 30 seconds rest until my cardio is done, then 20kg weighted squats and burpees super sets followed by 6kg weighted lunges, then unweighted planks and leg extentions. That's all I can do tho!! But it's great to do something that makes you feel good!! Xx

Re: Rowing again!
It's been advertised on tv however if you google it, you get lots of mini workout ideas.
It's brilliant. Beats just doing a 15-20 minute run on the treadmill or plodding a
One on a cross trainer. X

I've done tabata. Like it except for burpees. Hate them!
Metafit is a good class too. Only 30 min class x
