aaahhhhhh!!!!!
aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! OMG I could kill for a ciggy right now! This is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!! How on earth do people do this?!? Im using the nicotine spray, which your ment to use a few sprays per hour, I've almost finished the bottle this morning! ment to last a couple weeks! Im working from home today, sat in front of the computer all day, and usually I'd be having a ciggy every 30 mins or so, cos this working infront of a computer is soo stressful, and Im in the comfort of my own home too, soo hard not to run to the shop and buy some!!!!!! But I have to keep thinking boobies, boobies, boobies...! My surgeon asked me to stop for 6 weeks before the op, I managed to cut right down to 2/3 a day for the last 4 weeks, but now as im 2 weeks away from surgery I decided I had better give them up all together, at least I'll have 2 weeks clean pre ba, and I know a lot of girls are only recommended stopping for 2 weeks so Im hoping that wont be too bad, but OMG this is hard!!!!! I even considered postponing my surgery simply so I could have a ciggy! WTF?!?! (pardon my french!) This addiction markedly is ridiculous! :-)
p.s, sorry for the rant girls! Hope I havn't brought you all down! Had to get it out, Im going crazy!! xxxxxxx

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
I know how you feel.
I gave up on my birthday last year (16th march).
It gets EASIER I PROMISE.
I used patches for 2-3 weeks -Then I ran out on holiday in Lanzarote.... They were about £70 there and I couldn't pay that CRAZY, so got gum....still pricey there but I was determined ...The Gum was gross, had 1 piece and binned it, from then on I went cold turkey and to this day not had one!
I smoked since I was 15, almost 15yrs, except I gave up during my 2 pregnancies.
It was hard. I found the best thing is Keep BUSY, go out, do things you wouldn't do usually.
The Habbit is much harder to break than the addition.
You CAN do it hun

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
ps- I also had a stash of normal chewing gum and little lolly pops, which helped when I had an urge. Also I found opening and sipping a can of fizzy drink helped - took my mind off wanting a cig.

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
Giving is the best thing you'll ever do for your health honestly, although my poor family reckon I had a personality transplant after I gave up, I went completely cold turkey after having a panic attack about the cigs killing me, if you can give up for these last 2 weeks completely there's no reason why it shouldn't be forever and not only will you have fab boobies but you'll have glowing skin, it'll be so worth it just hang on in there sounds like you're doing really well xx

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
Keep at it , it will get better and the urge to want a cig/ thinking about them will become less frequent as time passes. If you are really struggling my friend stopped using one of the electronic cigarette things, she started on the liquid that contained nicotine and gradually weaned herself off onto the liquid with not nicotine before quitting al together. I used a different approach not denying myself a cig but by promising myself if I still craved a cig a week from the date I stopped I could have one , when the following week came I told myself how well I done and that I had managed that week I could go another week and just took it from there, by not denying yourself just delaying actually having one for a while I found helped
change my mindset and made it easier . Good luck and think of all the nice treats you can buy yourself with all the money you save! Gotta treat yourself it helps with the sense of achievement of how we'll your'e doing! XXX

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
I can't empathise as I have never smoked. BUT, i know that you CAN do it! If you think you can, you can! Mind over matter!
If it helps, I gave up alll drinks except for water for Lent last year. For 60 days (longer than Lent really) i drank nothing but water and it absolutely killed me. I couldn't drink my 5 cups of coffee in the morning or a nice hot chocolate at night. But with determination and willpower, i did it.
You can do this. Just keep thinking of your boobs and your surgeon and your boobs and your surgeon and your boobs and your surgeon.. And of course, the extra money in your pocket! ;)
And when you're tempted, just pop on here and tell us all and we' persuade you against it!

Good luck, honey! You can do it!!!!xxxxx

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
Im not going to lie, its damned hard, and I recently cracked. I'd been smoke free for over a year (bar a week in Cuba), but recently the stress of maybe losing my job, moving house and getting organised for xmas...After my darling hubby called me a c**t, I was just F this, I don't need to deal with the cravings on top of all this, so Ive had 40cigs in the last 3wks. Had my last one last night, and am going cold turkey. Its hard, but you can do it. At a bare minimum, you need to be smoke free for 2wk pre and probably 4wk post. But If you get there...try and carry on. Its the habit fags that are the worst, so if you're used to smoking every 30mins at your desk, get up, do a lap of the garden, or clean the mirrors, anything small just to take your mind off it for a bit. You've always got all our support.

Re: aaahhhhhh!!!!!
Hun, I did atkins years ago YUCK YUCK...... sounds like with that and not smoking, you are depriving yourself!
Which can only make you feel pants, been there before.
Keep at the no - ciggys...perhaps try a healthy alternative to the atkins. You can do it.
I remember how miserable I felt on atkins. And had no energy at all. Maybe just cut out snacks, bread and fats?
I am struggling to shift xmas lbs too but I couldn't be paid enough to do the atkins again.
xx
