Bathing?
I was told no bathing because not good to lay in dirty water!
My back is hurting still and feels like a soak in the bath would fix this?
Do you think it'd be ok to have a soak? If I don't wash in there too? I'm not dirty anyway, lol. But if I just lay with no soaps then would it be ok? X

Re: Bathing?
Sorry Jen, i was told not. You don't want to soak your incisions, but a bit of water running over them in the shower is ok.
You could have a bath to cover your lower back, then get your husband to give your upper back a rub...lure him in with the promise of a sneaky peek!
I totally relate to how you are feeling, my upper back and neck feel so knotted. I hope you feel better soon, happy xmas eve darling xx

Re: Bathing?
Thanks babe. Yeah didn't think about soaking the scars! That sounds like a good plan, will do that when boys in bed.
Hope you're back is feeling better too, uncomfy isn't it? Although worth it

Re: Bathing?
Aw Girls, the aches will pass soon, are you still taking any pain meds? If not it's worth popping a couple of paracetamol to help the aches.x

Re: Bathing?
Do you have a hot water bottle or microwave wheat bag Jen? Maybe pop one of those on your back, the heat does help.
You aren't able to lay in the bath and submerge your incisions fully hun because although you may think your body is clean, your feet where you've walking, your hands where they've been touching, they'll all carry bacteria and when you have a bath, this sounds disgusting lol, I love baths but its true. You're actually laying in your own bacteria, so because your incisions are very prone to infection right now, you most definitely don't want to get any bacteria near those wounds. They'll need 'generally' 6 weeks of healing before you're able to fully submerge. Xx
