will i go up a cup size? Empty will i go up a cup size?

Post by tigertonix 23rd December 2013, 7:37 pm

Hi, girls.. It's me again!
I'm experiencing mixed feelings about my new boobies. I love them and i think they're a lot bigger than before but i'm just unsure about what size they'll actually be. I'm guessing i'm very swollen but i'm not even filling a C cup! I'm wearing a 36C Marks & Spencer's bra. I usually wear a 34 but i have to wear 36 because i'm swollen. Does this mean that if i wasn't swollen, i could wear a 34D? I'm just worried that after my swelling subsides, i'm going to be left with little boobs..

Thanks girls xxxxxx

Awww Hun you're not going to have little boobies! You won't be a c cup , yes in theory up a band size down a cup and vice versa , down a band size up a cup size.

They need to drop and fluff yet Hun and once you've been given the go ahead for bras get fitted Hun at a bravissimo and I can promise you won't be dissapointed and you won't have little boobs! X  Hug

Increasing in breast size after a BA is never guaranteed gorgeous... But in four years and almost 8,000 women passing through, we've seen only 2 women that haven't increased in breast size 'after healing'

You actually look like you're very slim in your avatar and I'd say you're a 32 back, maybe a 30 even? Do that would take you to a DD/E cup, as you stand right now.

But if I could you a word of advise babe, it would be to forget the label inside your bra because that's all it is - a label  shrug

Stay focused on how your boobs 'look' and right now, its IMPOSSIBLE to be able to tell what they're going to look like - fast forward 3 months and you really are then going to start seeing good signs of your final results. But please don't judge your poor boobs just yet babe. They're new, they're tight, they're firm, they're swollen and NOTHING like  what you'll see months from now babe.

So put that label out of your mind. Its how they 'look' that's important and if they look good 'after healing' then you're going to feel good regardless of what it might say on a bra label. Xx

Ah, girls, thank you very much for your comfort!
Sorry i haven't replied sooner.. I nodded off soon after I posted this. I totally understand what you're saying.. I think i just got a bit moody when i realised i wasn't even fully filling a C cup!
Cookie, I thought i was a 32! But my surgeon told me twice that I'm a 34! -So i guess I'll listen to him as he measured me on two occasions.

Thank you, girlies!! I know it's a long wait but how many weeks do you think it will be before i start seeing changes to my boobs?xxxxx

He probably told you that to accommodate for the swelling babe. You're tiny!

Of course I fully understand you want to trust your surgeon and I fully respect that - but in terms of sizing and what your back size is... A 'fitter' rather than your surgeon knows best as they rather than your surgeon in terms of size are the real expert.

Leave the 'breast volume' to your surgeon and your 'overall resulting size to 'your fitter'.    yes  Xx

hey chick

i totally agree with cookie you look small - i cant even get a pic up just now as on works laptop!!
Cookie - can i e-mail a pic to you to upload for me?

I was the exact same as you tigettonix, i felt dissapointed as as much as i didnt want huge boobs i feel they are not much more than a c either but they have still to drop etc.

I asked my surgeon today as to when to get fitted for a bra and he said my boobs are going to change alot over the next few months so i shouldnt rush out just yet.

at the moment i am wearing 34d and 32e and ther isnt much difference in either tbh.

i am going to wait until after a month and maybe go get one bra and get measured and go back after 2/3months but everyone will be different.

That's very reassuring, MissKaren! I know it's hard to visualise when we can't exchange pictures easily. How maby ccs did you get and what did you start off as? Do you have snapchat? We could show progress over there? Obviously i totally understand if you think this is innappropriate haha. I just really want to compare progress with people a similar size haha xxxxx

Well, as you don't 'have' to wear a bra at all yet, unless you want to go out somewhere it would be pretty pointless until the majority of the healing has settled to save you some money.

Has your surgeon said when you can wear a bra whether that be a soft cup bra, possibly a crop top like bra, or a support bra? If they haven't, it would be worth checking before buying. Its really important, because if you're wearing a support bra and you surgeon doesn't want your boobs to have any support, hence the advise of no bra, your put back your healing in adding some support.

I think you'll know yourself when the majority has gone around the rib area Toni, but for most its around 2-4 weeks.

You won't be advised to be fitted for wired bras 'generally' anything from around 4-12 weeks post-op.

I've already told Karen its fine to send me a pic for you too babe  :ok:  Xx

Thank you, lovely!!
Yes, i think i will check at my next appointment what kind of support i should wear. There's so many choices and variations haha! At the moment i'm coping fine without a bra! Thankyou, Cookie!!

Oh and thank you for doing that. I really appreciate it :) xxxx
