I've had mental interested into my hand to hold the bones together that have broke! Will I still be ok to go ahead with BA? Xxx

I dont see why not, you dont have to go through airport security to get into hospitals...yet!

I'm sure your be fine, I would definitely ring up and let them know before hand though as I was asked if I had any metal in my body at a pre op... So it's better to let them know ild say xx

I agree with Jen Boney, its best to call now and be upfront, rather than leave it till later and possibly find it could be a problem.
Surgeons do often need to uses electrical cautery tools to stop a bleed and this can cause a burn if you have metal in you... In saying that, I have a metal coil inside of me and that's fine, so its very possible the same would apply for the pins you have in your hand, but better safe than sorry isn't it babe.
