another thought - sports bra
My surgeon told me to get a 32dd sports bra. I'm a little dubious because of it being the same band size to what I am now. Does that mean I should get a bigger one aswell just in case or see how it goes?
Thanks again guuuuuys :)

Re: another thought - sports bra
Its best to have two bras babe. One on... One in the wash.
So you have two options, you could either buy the 34D or buy another 32DD and just buy a pack of bra extenders which are no more than a fiver that will extend the bra for you through the swelling period and then you can reduce the size as the swelling goes down and still have bras that fit! Xx

Thank you, I do have 2 bras. He didn't specify what impact so didn't think until after that I have bought medium not high. So I was looking for an excuse to buy high haha. I think I will definitely get so bra extenders..I don't know why I didn't find out about them when I was pregnant haha.

No problem hun.
Its best you get good quality 'high impact' bras Ash, so if you get those and take the ones you have back for a refund that would be best.
Your new boobs are going to require stability whilst they heal so they need a bra that's going to keep your new boobs stable.
The most common bras used here are:
M&S zip fronted sportsbra
M&S pack of two high impact bras
The Macom
The Triumph Triaction Extreme
Shock absorbers.
Xx

I agree with cookie, high impact is needed for after your recovery for the stability! I know the bras can be a little costly but after spending so much on your boobs, you will want to look after them as much as possible! X

Re: another thought - sports bra
If you've got a long body, the zip front isnt so great as its not got adjustable straps. I found it was exacerbating my hunch and gave me terrible back pain. But a lot of the ladies swear by it!
Personally I wish I'd bought the macom for my recovery period, as you just need a band size, no cup size, which is great if you think you're going in for a C and come out with E's! If you buy from the Macom website, type 'mybreast' in for a 15% discount.
If you go for a back fastening one, definitely get some extenders. You can pick them up cheap online, ebay/amazon etc, Ann Summers do them, and I think I saw them in Primark in a boob-kit with nip covers and tit tape...which may come in handy post op when you have fabulous boobs and can go braless in that slinky ballgown you're lusting after but have no occasion for...oh wait, thats me!

Re: another thought - sports bra
i had macoms and m&s (2 in a pack high impact).
The macoms fitted perfectly well and i live in them now..
the m&s was too tight ... this is due to swelling - so i will try them again this weekend.
My next investment is the triumph one ..
i will have a min of 2 .. and def one front fastening ones - after my BA - i couldnt get my hand to my back and i also could turn the bra round (ie fasten it in front and turn to the back - for back fastners) this would have made my stitching sore ..

Re: another thought - sports bra
I've bought the m and s so far. My surgeon specifically told me to get a back fastening bra so I guess I'm just going to have to struggle haha. I've also bought some extenders :)
Thank you girlies xx
