Special occasion bra
Hi everyone I'm wondering if ill be able to wear a different bra for a special occasion on Saturday (I will be 2weeks PO by then). I want to wear a nice dress but you can see the top of my sports bra so I bought a lovely bra from debenhams yesterday it's got no wire and its a medium support comfort bra, what do you think, it will only be for a few hours won't it. I'm seeing ps on Saturday morning and a bit scared to ask him lol.
Had my worst day yesterday pain wise at 9 days PO very stingy with some intermittent sharp shooting pains, still no sensation around either nip

Re: Special occasion bra
No sweetie, it's not OK.
Sorry if that's not what you wanted to read but if you've been advised to wear a high impact bra 24/7 for a period of time then that's what you should do.
You're so, so early post op and you're implant needs to adhere to the breast pocket, hence the need for the high impact bra. Your breasts need to be stabilised to do this and if you don't follow the post-op instruction you risk losing your aftercare also. So if anything were to happen because you didn't listen, any costs to repair damage will be your own.
I personally don't think ANYTHING is worth risking your recovery for hun. You've wanted these boobs for such a long time, you've paid a heck of a lot of money for them, you've put yourself through major surgery to get them... And now, for one day... To wear one dress, you're willing to risk all of that?
Not worth it all is it babe.
If you're looking for a sports bra that's low cut and one you can wear with almost anything (aside from very thin straps of boob tube or bustier style) then the triumph triaction extreme is a great bra. You'll be able to wear that with almost anything and still have all the support needed through your recovery. Xx

I have to agree with Cookie. Anything you do that is against your surgeons advise can invalidate your aftercare, and by not giving them the support they need, even if its just for a couple of hours, it can affect your healing. By all means discuss it with your surgeon, but in my personal opinion, its not worth it.

Re: Special occasion bra
Its the same principle PrettyLil - if your surgeon has given you explicit instructions to have them fully supported at all times, thats what you should do. Going braless would probable be worse than a wireless bra, as there is zero support. I just wouldnt think it would be worth going against the surgeons advice.
