Hi all
Hi everyone, hope your all ok..
i saw my surgeon the other day, and i mentioned and showed him how one of my scars is above my crease and does not even sit close to my crease, he said this is cos my boobs were a funny a shape to start with and it will never go to my crease, i agree my boobs did have one sitting higher then the other, not majorally, but noticeable,.. is this normal, for the scar to not be in the crease and the surgeon to be fine with that, i thought the whole point was to be able to hide the scars a bit with the crease? has anyone else has this problem?

Hi Leanne!! Good to hear from you... I'm still quite early on so I'm not too sure but maybe as the scar continues to fade, it won't be too noticeable anyway? Not sure though wether this is right what your surgeon has said though xx

Re: Hi all
How far along after you Leanne? If you're less than around 6 months into your recovery then there's still a possibility it may fall into the breast crease...
But to honest hun, if there's no chance and your surgeon knew this based on your pre-op boobs he really should have discussed this with you at your consultation giving you the right to an informed decision about whether or not this would be something you're happy with... Or, if there may well have been the possibility of dissection to possibly enable the breast to sit in the crease.
Maybe this is something you could discuss further with your surgeon when you next go back for a check up babe. Xx

Re: Hi all
i am 5 months post op, he never said scars would not sit in the crease ever, but he has said now he dont think the scar is ever going to go in the crease? i dont need to see him again now unless i am concerned about somthing? u cant really tell unless i am topless and waving my arms about which i dont plan on doing, however, i think cos i was not expecting it thats why i am confused? x

Re: Hi all
If its not something that's going to concern you Leanne then the scar is going to fade and likely be barely noticeable hun so I wouldn't worry about it hun.
Some women however are very particular and no matter how faded, if they were told the scar should sit in the breast crease... Which unless told otherwise by all means and purposes it should then they could get very angry about this - you surgeon really did have an obligation to have told you had he known as he clearly states he did... But if you're not bothered Leanne, then there's no worries babe Xx
