Can't wait to know what bra size I am, but nervous

I've got my 6 week appointment with my surgeon in 9 days and I hope he gives me the go ahead to wear different bras rather than sports bras. I'm really looking forward to getting measured, lots of ladies on here recommend Bravissimo and there is one in Liverpool where I live so I will be heading there. So excited and nervous all at once as I still feel that my boobs are sitting quite high up not in the natural position. Did anyone else worry about this going to get measured? xxx

I wasn't worried because I was really pleased with my new boobs so it was just a number. However I couldn't wait to see them in a proper bra!

I tried quite a few on and they like you to manhandle them a bit to make sure the cup is right, so they did feel a bit tender that evening! A small price to pay x

Hi LRJ, I'm not worried about what the size is as such, more about them not sitting right in the bras with them still being high up and quite hard. Yes I can imagine them to feel tender after, ouchy! Suppose il just tell the measurer I've had a BA and still quite early days, and see what she recommends! xx

Wow missvmac can't believe how quickly that has come around!! :) it's easy for me to say so early on but try not to worry, 6 months in the time I've seen a lot if ladies say they saw the end result so I'm sure your have more healing to do...and dropping! Love your avi :)

If you don't feel ready to get measured you do t have to go right away but can understand wanting to be out the sports bra... The women at bravissimo are used to ladies having a BA I think and they all seem to be well trained so hopefully your be fine :) xx

I know Jen it has come around pretty quick!! Yeah you're right, I suppose you don't have to run off and get measures straight away haha I'm just getting fed up of the sports bras. Il see how it goes at my check up appointment and then decide I think! How r u feeling? xx

Lol I understand what you mean though about wanting to get out of the sports bras but needing to know what size bra to buy!! I'm ok, have my first check up tomorrow, not really looking forward to it because worried about my Macom rubbing but I've got done extra padding just incase!! :) xx

My lefty doesn't sit *quite* right, and the girl in Boux even said that normally when they see the creasing on the upper boob by the armpit theyd recommend going a cup size larger, until I explained that they were still new! After that they were just like, oh ok, that's fine then. I haven't been to Bravissimo yet, might go next w/e, but im sure they get hundreds of us in post op and know exactly how to deal with it and fit around them, especially in the early stages. It'll be fine, don't be nervous!

i went to bravissimo last week after my 5 week check, they were great. mine are softening, but still firm. it was fine trying on bras, and i have been wearing wires about 50% of the time since, with no problems. i bought 4 bras but on the advice of cookie, think will wait to buy any more incase the drop n fluff at all. hope that helps :)

Good luck with getting measured babe but it sounds to me like u mite drop and fluff after ur 6week mark so try not to get to carried away with ur bra buying! Haha
I got to carried away and had to chuck 6 bras away cus they didnt fit6 months down the line :/ xxx

Ooh, don't go bra crazy, I was fluffing past the 6 month mark, I went from a DD to an E to an F! I wasn't nervous, more shocked and happy! I did just want a D cup, but when I am dressed they don't look that big. So just get a couple for now. I lived mainly in a sports bra for 6 months when possible . I had the all clear for wires at about 8/9 weeks x

I went at 8wks, as my surgeon had only written 8wks 24/7 in sports bras. I did go a wee bit overboard, but i was my birthday pressie! Stayed in my sports bras mostly until last week when I got the firm all clear, so starting to wear wires to work now. But im well aware that theres a lot more change to come, so may have to throw away the pretty ones in 6mth time :(

Thanks ladies! I think I might wait a bit longer as you all recommend before splashing out. I might just buy one or two if my surgeon gives me the go ahead and stay in my sports bras the rest of the time. xxx

Thats a good shout missvmac I wud look after ur newbies and not rush into things.i did and was so annoyed at myself cus I spent quite a few quid on bras and they didnt fit for long :(xxx getting fitted into ur first underwired bra though is a great feeling.i cudnt wait to get mine on and put it as my avi xxx
