Check up with roger 4 weeks post op

Hey all, I've been off here for a while, took the boobies camping at the weekend,

Got drenched and my husband had to do everything!!!! I felt so lazy but was so good as well!

But anyway my surgeon said I'm coming along nicely but I stupidly forgot to ask him a few thins which I will get on to his secretary, however thought would ask u guys what advice u was given....

1) when did u get measured?
2) when could u go in a swimming pool?
3) when did u wear normal bras?

He has given me the all clear to run at 6 weeks but not sure I will at moment as still feel too sore for jiggling but may feel different in a couple of weeks! Will def start back with cycling and walking at gym before do anything else.

I hope everyone is doing ok, I feel that life has got back to normal really, my son starts school next week so got to sort his stuff out... And I even feel that my ba isn't that bigger deal now as they so modest, but that is all I wanted so gotta be happy, just now I have a pair I think I want a bigger pair!!! Boob greed!!! Just need to get in those wire bras and lose a bit of tummy fat!

Good to hear your doing well x I was measured at about 6 weeks, I could wear normal bras at 6 weeks during the day and sports bra at night, and I wasn't allowed to go swimming for 3 months. But every surgeon gives different advice hun xx

Wow sounds like you're really settled with the new additions after such a short time!
Not sure I fancy the camping much though; although I'm sure with two boys I will end up doing it at some point!!

Glad you're loving the new assets and I'm sure once you get them into some sexy new wires you'll love them even more!x

Thanks Lisa, it's good to hear what u did, but will check with mine! Can't believe he didn't say about bras, I was just too laid back! Should have been better prepared!

Camping is awesome with the right ppl and the kids love it so much, I have 2 boys (2 and 4) and they sleep great from all the fresh air ( I'm sounding old!). It is tiring though!!

All I know from your questions is that many women get measured at 6 weeks but that doesn't always give the end result I don't think... Glad to see your doing well and healing nicely :D xx

I know!!! I'm really excited not many nerves but I think that's because it almost doesn't seem real!! It's amazing that this is my last full week of my life without boobs lol!! There's always so much to catch up on here lol xx

I reckon u will prob just remain excited! U have gone through so many emotions in ur build up! Last full week woop woop and then mr M is going to work his magic!!!

I know!! Haha I'm going to have a new avi and everything!! I really can't wait, I think il have difficulty sleeping the night before and il be nervous walking to theatre but I feel ready!!
I'm just hoping I don't get the boobie blues because I've been waiting so long and all of my focus has been on this... Xxx

My avi is a sneaky six weeker, but I went for a proper measure and bra shop at 8. There was a 'discussion' between me and my nurse about when I could wear wires. My surgeons notes said sports bra 24/7 for 8wks, and I'm pretty sure he said I could wear wires after that, but the nurse was all 'we say 12', but your not my surgeon, your a clinic nurse, so we agreed that I could wear them a little for going out or weekends, but not full time. Seeing surgeon in 2 wks tho, so hoping for all clear!

The pool I think is 3m, but don't quote me on that. Again, waiting for the all clear before I attempt it

Glad all is going well with your recovery Specialjk   post-op advise is different for us all babe depending on surgeon and healing.

It would be best to just do as you said and call and ask the guidance that's right for YOU hun. Xx

Hey hun nice to hear from you, I still have boob greed Too! 

I am a little behind you, but my job is a swimming teacher so I specifically had to ask about this and obviously chose to have my ba while we are on summer break. I go back to work on Monday which is just over 3 weeks post op, my surgeon was fine with this but obviously every surgeon is different and not sure if my job had anything to do with it.

Glad tour doing well byn, my advise would be to invest in a really good sports bra that the boobs won't budge in when you return excerising and When you do get the go ahead for wires break your boobs into them , you will find you won't be able to wear them all day at first and may take a little while To be able to wear them comftablly all day x

Thanks everyone, ive emailed so hope to hear answers soon. I've been told to wear 2 different makes of sports bras when I start as each offer different support so have got my m and s and shock absorbers at the ready!

My boobs are definitely looking bigger nOw they are dropping so feeling excited about my bOob future!!!

I have a consultation with Roger Smith tomorrow, and just wondering how happy have you been with him and the aftercare so far? His secretary has been great so far at answering any queries I have had, I've been researching loads and he is top of my list at present, obviously depending on how tomorrow's consultation goes... Lol. I would be looking to book at the Nuffield Tumbridge Wells as that is easier for me to get to xxx

It's best to check with your surgeon tbh. Mine seems to be fairly laid back compared to other ladies!

He was happy for me do start exercising, wear normal bras etc as soon as I felt I wanted to!

Agree with the others re sports bra, the firmer the better, I use a Triumph Extreme, and I certainly wouldn't have been back exercising so quick if it wasn't for it's support.
