Yellow discharge
Hi,
This may sound gross but on the one boob for the past couple of days i have had a bit of yellow discharge come out from where my cuts are. It's only a small amount on the dressings but is yellow? There is no pain or smell. should i be worried?

Re: Yellow discharge
I had the same...got some antibiotic cream from the doc and it cleared it straight up. If it's swollen, red or hot to touch then you need oral antibiotics as well. I would get an appointment either with your surgeon or if not with your gp.

Yeah I will :) just hoping it don't get worse. I have had it for a couple of days and it's literally when i get out the shower and dry myself there seems to be a bit of yellow stuff on the bandages and is from the underneath scar :( x

Re: Yellow discharge
It's possible it could just be liquid fat and nothing at all to worry about babe...but, with any suspect secretion babe, it really should be checked out.
I wouldn't shower or get the wound wet at all until the nurse has seen it babe. Keep the wound dry and get it checked out as soon as you can hun. Xx

Re: Yellow discharge
ladies im really panicking now. Today i have a very small wound just bellow my nipple and it has yellow guk coming out of it. It's not sure or smells but totally worried that it will somehow mean i will have to have the implant removed all the time. I am also getting a small amount of yellow and orange discharge from my underneath cut on the same boob. I am seeing the nurse tomorrow at 5pm but quite worried xx

Re: Yellow discharge
Calm down hun... At worst, if is an infection it CAN be treated with anti-biotics. Having an infection does not always mean rejection of the implant. You're getting this sorted out early, so if you need anti-bs they will get to work right now, so try to stay calm hun.
Do be sure not to get the wound wet at all, so no showers hun. Just strip washes again or shallow baths.
The nurse will take a look for you tomorrow and if she thinks its an infection swabs will be taken to determine what kind of infection it is and give you the right anti-bs to get to it straight away.
You'll be OK hun. Don't worry

Re: Yellow discharge
Just to add, I have an infection in my TT incision and the surgeon and GP don't seem at all worried. I'm sure you'll be fine x
