implant insertion under arm or breast
Hey girls
I had naturally thought I would go for under breast insertion but a friend of a friend today says under arm is the best way to go? Can anyone give me the pros and con's especially relating to recovery time? I'll speak with my surgeon about Saturday by just wanted to hear some first hand experiences...... Xxx

You have to think about the length of the incision needed to get silicone implants into the breast pocket which is approximately 5cm
In the breast breast this is totally inconspicuous, but in the armpit, this would actually be visible babe and may infact draw more attention to you having had a breast aug.
Also having the incision done in the breast crease gives the surgeon straight forward access to the breast pocket which is far less invasive then an armpit incision. Xx

Well see common sense told me that but she was just so animated and insistent about it! I'd never even considered it until that conversation! Xxx

Hey Cookie,
Saw my friends friend today - her scars are 3 years old and barely visible! I could only tell because she showed me exactly where they were, they're practically disguised by armpit creases!
However that was the one and only pro she could give me. Doesn't sound like it made any difference to recovery time or anything. Presumably this insertion is just her surgeons preference? xXx

Incisions under the armpit aren't something we really hear alot of in the UK.
Incisions in the breast crease are almost invisible too when healed and permanently covered in the breast crease.
You can see mine from my first BA after 2 1/2 years [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
With a crease incision too it actually gives direct access to the breast pocket so it makes sense that this option would be the least invasive.
I think if you're unsure lovely you should see a surgeon to talk all options through before making any definite decisions. Xx

Thanks for that Cookie!
I will talk about it with him Saturday - honestly I don't think I'm really worried about where they go in it was just another thing that came up that I hadn't really thought about before! People do like to put their ten pence worth in when they know what you're doing don't they!!! xXx

LOL.. For sure.
Its entirely up to YOU what you want from your BA babe, so chatting with your surgeon on Saturday should help resolve any concerns you have and to make the decisions that are right for you. Xx
